If you have a website created with Hostinger AI Builder and you want your domain to automatically open a different domain (for example, redirect yourdomain.com to newdomain.com), you can set up the redirect using Cloudflare’s Page Rules.
Since redirects for AI Builder websites need to be created externally, Cloudflare is a simple way to make the redirection work correctly.
How to set it up?
- Go to Cloudflare and create a free account if you don’t have one yet.
- Once logged in, add your domain to Cloudflare and follow the onboarding steps. Cloudflare will scan your DNS records automatically, so you can confirm everything looks correct before continuing.
- After Cloudflare gives you the new nameservers, update them in your domain settings (where your domain is registered). Once the nameservers are updated, Cloudflare will be managing your domain’s DNS. Now, make sure your domain is correctly connected to Hostinger AI Builder so it opens your website normally. If you want to change the domain connected to your website, do this before setting up the redirect.
- In your Cloudflare dashboard, open your domain and create a redirect rule to send visitors to the destination domain you want.
Page Rules require a proxied DNS record to work. You can enable the proxy by toggling the Proxy status switch to Proxied.
For example: If someone opens
yourdomain.com, they will automatically be redirected to newdomain.com.And that’s it. Your domain will now redirect through Cloudflare successfully!
If your domain is connected to a AI Builder website, make sure the website is published so visitors can access it properly.
