If you want to prepay or renew a Hostinger service before it expires, this article explains how renewal periods work and what options are available. Hostinger subscriptions are paid upfront for the selected billing cycle. Renewing early extends your service from the current expiration date. Renewal periods cannot be stacked beyond the next billing term.
How renewal works
When you renew a service:
- The new billing period starts after the current expiration date.
- The expiration date is extended by the selected renewal duration.
- Multiple renewals cannot be combined into one accumulated period.
Renewal periods are fixed per product. The available options may change over time and are shown during the renewal process. If your preferred duration is not available, select the closest available billing cycle.
You can change your billing cycle during renewal.
Available renewal durations
Renewal options depend on the service type.
- Web hosting, cloud hosting, Hostinger Business email: 1 month, 12 months, 24 months or 48 months.
- KVM VPS hosting: 1 month, 12 months or 24 months.
- OpenVZ VPS hosting (legacy): 1 month.
- Agency hosting: 1 month or 12 months.
- Hostinger Horizons: 1 month or 12 months.
- Hostinger Reach: 1 month or 12 months.
- Domains: The minimum renewal period is 1 year. Some domain extensions (TLDs) allow multi-year renewal, if supported by the registry.
Billing details
Longer billing cycles usually provide a lower average monthly price. The full amount for the selected subscription period is charged upfront.
If installment options are available, they are provided directly by the payment gateway, depending on region and payment method.
Renewing before expiration helps prevent service interruptions. You can also enable auto-renewal to ensure your services are always up and running.
