Switching from Render
Moving from Render? Connect the same GitHub repo or upload a ZIP, and import your environment variables from a .env file in one step. Hostinger detects your framework, so there are no build and start commands to copy over. Test everything on a temporary domain first. Your Render service stays live until you point your domain to Hostinger.

Hostinger vs Render FAQs
Is Hostinger cheaper than Render?
For most apps, yes. Render charges a workspace plan plus compute for every service you run. The workspace is free on Hobby or $25/month flat on Pro. On top of that, a Starter instance costs $7/month for 512 MB RAM and 0.5 CPU, Standard is $25/month for 2 GB and 1 CPU, and Pro is $85/month for 4 GB and 2 CPUs. Hostinger is one flat price, from $3.49/mo on a 48-month plan (renewing at $16.99/mo), with 2 vCPU, 3 GB RAM, 50 GB NVMe storage, unlimited bandwidth, and a free domain and business email for the first year. Getting 2 CPUs on Render costs $85/month, before adding a database or extra bandwidth.
Will my bill go up if my traffic grows?
Not on Hostinger. Bandwidth is unlimited (subject to our Fair Usage Policy), and your price stays the same. Render includes 5 GB of bandwidth on Hobby and 25 GB on Pro, then charges $0.15 for each additional GB. A 100 GB month on Hobby would add about $14 to your bill.
Does my app stay online all the time?
Yes. Your app runs around the clock, with long-running processes and WebSockets, at no extra cost. On Render, paid instances stay running, but free web services spin down after 15 minutes without traffic. That makes the first visit after a quiet period slow, so an always-on app on Render starts at $7 per service.
Is a database included?
Yes. Every plan includes managed MySQL with connection details set up automatically, plus a 1-click Supabase integration. On Render, Postgres is a separate paid service, with storage billed at $0.30 per GB per month.
Do I need GitHub to deploy?
No. You can connect a GitHub repository or simply upload your project as a ZIP file, which is handy if you built your app with an AI tool. Render doesn’t support direct uploads, so a Git account and repository are required.
How do I move my app from Render to Hostinger?
Connect the same GitHub repository or upload your app as a ZIP file, and Hostinger builds and deploys it automatically. Import your environment variables in one step by uploading a .env file. Test everything on the temporary preview URL before pointing your domain, so your Render app stays live until you’re ready. If your app uses Render Postgres, plan to move your data to MySQL or Supabase as part of the switch.
Are there Render features I won’t get on Hostinger?
Yes. Render can run several connected services in one project. Its service types include web services, static sites, private services, background workers, cron jobs, Postgres, and Key Value. It also offers preview environments on the Pro plan and higher. Hostinger doesn’t offer preview deployments or serverless functions. If you need Docker or several services side by side, the Node.js on VPS plan gives you full root access and a Docker manager — see the plans above.
