What is Boleto Bancário?

Boleto Bancário is a widely used payment method in Brazil that allows you to pay bills through a bank-generated slip. It can be paid at banks, ATMs, internet banking, or banking apps — no credit card required.

Note: Boleto Bancário is available exclusively on hostinger.com/br, Hostinger’s Brazilian brand. Purchases on other Hostinger regional brands (such as hostinger.com) do not support Boleto as a payment method.
🚨 Fraud warning: Hostinger never sends Boletos by physical mail. If you have received a Boleto slip at your home address, do not pay it — it is a fraud. All legitimate Boletos from Hostinger are generated exclusively through your hPanel, under Billing → Subscriptions.

Follow the steps below to complete your purchase using Boleto Bancário:

  • Log in to your hPanel and go to Billing → Subscriptions.
  • Find the invoice you want to pay and click Pay Now.
  • In the payment cart, select Boleto as your payment method.
  • A Boleto slip will be generated. You can pay it through your banking app, internet banking, ATM, or a bank branch.

⚠️ Important: Boleto payments have an expiration date. Make sure to pay before the Boleto expires — if it does, you will need to generate a new one. Also, if your service is set to expire soon, we recommend paying at least 3 business days in advance to ensure the payment compensates before the expiration date.

How long does Boleto take to process?

Hostinger uses Boleto Fast, which significantly speeds up payment processing compared to traditional Boleto. Here’s what to expect:

Stage Expected time
Payment processing after paying the Boleto 24 to 48 hours
Service activation after payment confirmation Usually within a few minutes of confirmation
Payment confirmation email Sent as soon as the payment is cleared
In a hurry? If you need your service activated immediately, consider using PIX or a credit/debit card instead — both are processed instantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

I paid my Boleto but my service hasn’t been activated yet. What do I do?

Boleto payments can take up to 48 hours to be fully processed. If you have paid and are within this window, please wait and check back later — your service will be activated automatically once the payment is confirmed. You will also receive a confirmation email. If 48 hours have passed and your service is still inactive, please contact our support team with your payment proof.

My service expires before the Boleto processing time. What should I do?

The Boleto processing time (24–48 hours) is independent of your service’s expiration date. If your service expires before the payment compensates, it may be temporarily suspended. To avoid this, we recommend paying with PIX or a credit/debit card when your expiration date is approaching, or generating and paying the Boleto at least 3 business days before expiration. Once the payment clears, your service will be reactivated automatically.

My Boleto expired before I could pay it. Can I get a new one?

Yes. Simply go back to Billing → Subscriptions in your hPanel, find the invoice, and click Pay Now again to generate a new Boleto. There is no extra charge for generating a new one.

Can I pay an existing invoice or renew my plan with Boleto?

Yes! As long as you have a hostinger.com/br account, you can use Boleto to pay any open invoice, including renewals. Go to Billing → Subscriptions, select the invoice, and choose Boleto at checkout.

Is Boleto available for automatic renewals?

Boleto does not support automatic renewals. Each payment requires a new Boleto to be generated and paid manually. If you’d like your services to renew automatically, we recommend using a credit or debit card as your payment method.

Can I request a refund for a purchase made with Boleto?

Yes, eligible purchases can be refunded in accordance with Hostinger’s Refund Policy (generally within 30 days of the transaction). For Boleto refunds, EBANX (our payment processor) will contact you by email to collect your bank details, and the amount will be transferred directly to your bank account. Please note that not all products are eligible for refunds — check the refund policy for details.

I paid my Boleto but the amount went to my Hostinger Balance instead of activating my service. Why?

This can happen in two situations:

  1. The original order expired while the Boleto was pending. If the order was cancelled before the Boleto payment compensated, the amount is credited to your Hostinger Balance instead. Your money is safe — simply go to your hPanel and purchase the service again, and your balance will be applied automatically at checkout.
  2. You paid the difference for a plan downgrade with Boleto. When a downgrade is performed, a proration credit is calculated based on the remaining days of your current plan. Since Boleto can take up to 48 hours to compensate, more days of the service will have been used by the time the payment clears — meaning the amount you paid no longer matches the proration needed to complete the downgrade. As a result, the paid amount is credited to your Hostinger Balance instead. If you need help with this, please reach out to our support team.
