KYC identity verification for .DE domains is not required for all registrations. It is only triggered when the registry flags a specific domain as suspicious based on the domain name, registrant contact details, or associated website content.
If your .DE domain requires verification, you will receive an email from the registrar at the contact address used during registration. If you did not receive this email, your domain does not currently require KYC verification.
Before you start
- You must have an active .de domain registration with Hostinger.
- You need access to the contact email address associated with your domain registration.
Complete the .de domain verification
- Open the verification email sent to your registered email address by the registry.
- Gather a valid Identification Document. This can be a passport or national identity card. If registering under a company name, provide official business registration documents instead.
- Gather official proof of address.
- For individual domain owners, a recent utility bill is acceptable.
- For company registrations, provide an official certificate showing the registered business location.
- Submit the documents by following the specific instructions or via the Upload documents option.
- Reach out to our Customer Success Specialist once the documents are submitted, and we will help to forward the information to the registry.
Once the registry reviews and approves your documents, the domain becomes active.
NOTES
- All provided documents must be completely clear, legible, and current.
- Failure to complete the verification within the timeframe requested will result in the domain remaining suspended.
