To register a .pk domain (the country code top-level domain for Pakistan), you do not need to meet any specific residency or legal requirements. Anyone can register these domains for personal or business use.
Registration and activation timeline
Because .pk domains are managed by the PKNIC registry, the activation process differs from other domain extensions:
- Registration time – It can take up to 30 working days for a .pk domain to be fully registered according to our partner Registrar.
- Activation status – During this period, your domain order will remain in activating status in your Hostinger account.
- DNS functionality – Your DNS records and nameservers should work as usual during this time.
Troubleshooting DNS issues
If your domain shows as active on the official PKNIC website but your DNS is still not working after the 30-day period, manual intervention is required.
In this case, please contact our Customer Success team so we can coordinate with the registrar to resolve the issue.
