How to manage the Registro.br DNS zone for Hostinger domains

Updated 1 week ago

If your domain uses Registro.br nameservers, you must manage its DNS zone settings within the Registro.br control panel. This process allows you to point your domain to Hostinger services by adding or editing resource records like A, CNAME, or MX records.

Pre-requisites

  • An active account and domain registered at Registro.br.

  • Your domain must be pointing to Registro.br nameservers.

Step 1 – Enable the advanced DNS zone

By default, Registro.br may hide advanced DNS management. Follow these steps to access it:

  1. Log in to your Registro.br account.

  2. In the Domínios (Domains) section, click on the domain you wish to manage.

  3. Scroll down to the DNS section and click Configurar Endereçamento (Configure Addressing).

  4. Click Modo Avançado (Advanced Mode).

  5. In the confirmation message, click Confirmar (Confirm).

  6. Wait a few minutes and refresh the page until the transition to advanced mode is complete.

Step 2 – Add DNS records

Once the advanced mode is active, you can manage your records:

  1. Click Nova Entrada (New Entry).

  2. Select the record type you need from the dropdown menu (e.g., A, MX, or CNAME).

  3. Enter the required information provided by Hostinger for your specific service.

  4. Click Adicionar (Add).

  5. After adding all necessary records, click Salvar Alterações (Save Changes).

Conclusion

You have successfully configured your DNS records at Registro.br. Please note that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate worldwide.
