How to get the EPP code from GoDaddy

Acquiring the EPP/Auth code from GoDaddy

Updated 6 days ago

Get the EPP code from GoDaddy in the domain’s Transfer settings in your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio, then enter it in the Hostinger transfer order. GoDaddy calls the EPP code the authorization code or auth code. You can’t transfer a domain away from GoDaddy within 60 days of its registration or a previous transfer.

Get your EPP code from GoDaddy

  1. Sign in to your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio.
  2. Select the domain you want to transfer to Hostinger.
  3. Select Transfer to Another Registrar under Transfer.
  4. Review the transfer checklist, then select Continue with transfer.
  5. Verify your identity if the domain has GoDaddy Domain Protection.
  6. Select Click here to see Authorization Code, then select Copy to Clipboard.

GoDaddy also sends the EPP code to the domain’s registrant email address. GoDaddy turns off domain privacy after you select Continue with transfer.

Next, transfer your domain to Hostinger and enter the EPP code in the Hostinger transfer order. For the full steps and requirements, see How to transfer a domain to Hostinger.

.uk domains don’t need an EPP code. To move a .uk domain from GoDaddy, follow How to transfer a .UK domain to Hostinger.
