How to reactivate an expired hosting plan in Hostinger

Restoring a hosting plan canceled due to non-payment

If your web or cloud hosting plan expired due to a missed payment and now shows a Canceled status, you can still reactivate it as long as it’s within 30 days of the expiration date.

Plans that have been expired for more than 30 days, or were canceled for reasons other than payment, cannot be reactivated.

Renewing a canceled hosting plan

When you renew a canceled plan, your website files and databases will be automatically restored, including websites created with Hostinger Website Builder. Emails are not included.

1. On the Home page of hPanel, click Restore next to the canceled hosting plan in the Pending payments section.

2. The next screen will show how much time is left to reactivate the plan. Click Restore to view renewal options and complete the payment.

The restoration process can take from 30 minutes up to a few hours, depending on the size of your websites.

 

Downloading available backups

Besides reactivating your plan, you may also have the option to download the most recent backup of your hosting plan. All website files are included in a single archive, and each database is available as a separate download.

Keep in mind that the backup does not include emails or websites created using Hostinger Website Builder.

To download your data:

  1. Click on Generate backup.

  2. Confirm your file and database selections, then click Generate download link.

During the backup generation process, you won’t be able to create new backups or use the Restore feature. Depending on the file size, the process can take up to a few hours. Once ready, a Download button will appear in place of Generate backup.

 

NOTES

  • Since emails are stored separately, they are not included in the plan reactivation or backup generation. For email recovery options, refer to: Restore a deleted Hostinger email account.
  • Hosting plans can be reactivated and backups downloaded within 30 days of expiration through hPanel. After this period, plan reactivation is no longer available. In some cases, up to 90 days after cancellation, our Customer Success team may still be able to assist with recovering existing backups of files and databases, excluding Hostinger Website Builder websites. Availability isn’t guaranteed.
