Fix outdated images on Facebook website previews by refreshing Facebook’s cache of your site’s link preview.
Refresh the Facebook cache
Whenever you post a link to your website on Facebook, it will automatically create a preview comprised of an image, the link title, and a short descriptive text taken from the meta tags in your website’s code.
This content is cached by Facebook directly and can last up to 30 days. In case the image displayed is incorrect or outdated, it may indicate that Facebook’s cache needs to be refreshed.
To update the images, go to the Facebook Sharing Debugger tool and type in your URL. This will force an update to the Facebook cache with the correct image and preview information.
