Content policy at Hostinger comes down to legality and resource impact rather than a fixed list of banned topics. Most website and content types are allowed as long as they comply with applicable laws and Hostinger’s Terms of Service, with a couple of clear exceptions — cryptocurrency mining and nulled or cracked scripts — that aren’t permitted at all due to security and resource concerns. Each is covered individually below.
Is mining allowed at Hostinger?
Cryptocurrency mining is the process of using computer power to solve complex mathematical problems, which validate and secure transactions on a blockchain. This, in turn, can generate rewards in the form of newly created cryptocurrency coins, or collection of service fees.
Due to security concerns and the intensive use of resources required by crypto miners, mining activity is not allowed at Hostinger.
However, you can host informative websites about cryptocurrency topics, as long as they do not directly involve trading or mining activities. Please consider the following guidelines:
-
All hosted materials must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including intellectual property rights
-
You are not allowed to host content of illegal nature or that promotes or encourages any illegal activity
-
You are not allowed to host code, files or programs that could limit, disrupt or damage the functionality of Hostinger’s software or hardware
If you already have a VPS at Hostinger and you suspect there is malware-related mining activity on your server, check this article: How to Secure Your VPS From Abusive Activity.

Where appropriate or legally required by applicable law, Hostinger may notify and cooperate with law enforcement agencies or other competent authorities regarding your content or activities.
Legality, copyright compliance, and Terms of Service adherence are what determine whether a content or website type is allowed at Hostinger — most types are permitted with those conditions in mind. A smaller set of categories, however, aren’t allowed under any circumstances: cryptocurrency mining and nulled or cracked scripts, due to the security and resource risks they carry, along with terrorism, violence, self-harm promotion, fraud, harassment, unauthorized prescription sales, illegal wildlife trade, privacy violations, and DDoS-related activity, due to the legal and safety risks they pose. For the specific resource limits of each plan type, see parameters and limits of hosting plans in Hostinger.
