You can manage DNS records at Hostinger from the DNS / Nameservers page of your domain in Hostinger dashboard, where you add, edit, and delete records such as A, CNAME, MX, and TXT records. The DNS / Nameservers page also lets you add several records at once, connect services with Quick setup, restore earlier versions of your DNS zone, import and export DNS records, and manage DNS records for each subdomain.
DNS is available directly in the Domains sidebar of Hostinger dashboard, so you can reach your DNS settings in a few clicks. To manage DNS records:
- Go to Hostinger dashboard.
- In the left sidebar, choose Domains and click DNS.

- Select the domain you want to manage.

- The DNS records tab opens, where you can add, edit, or delete records.
NOTE
- Domains registered elsewhere but pointing to Hostinger nameservers also appear here under External domains.
For domains pointing elsewhere by nameservers, use the DNS management tools provided by the respective platform.
On the domain management page, open DNS / Nameservers:

There are seven tabs at the top of the DNS / Nameservers page: DNS records, Child nameservers, Redirects, DNSSEC, DNS history, Subdomains, and SSL:

The availability of child nameservers and DNSSEC settings depends on the domain’s extension (TLD).
Manage DNS records in the DNS records tab
The DNS records tab shows your domain’s nameservers, the Manage DNS records card for adding records, and the full list of your DNS records below it.
Key features of the DNS editor
To make managing your domain easier, the DNS zone editor includes several smart tools:
- Bulk creation: add multiple DNS records at once instead of creating them one by one.
- Built-in explanations: DNS record types include explanations directly in the Type dropdown, so you can check the purpose of each record before adding it.
- Contextual guidance: field placeholders and helper texts across the DNS management flow explain exactly what information each field expects.
Add a DNS record
To create a new record in the Manage DNS records card, choose the record Type, then enter the Name, Value, TTL, and any other information the record type requires. The TTL field defaults to 14400 seconds. Click Add Record to save the record.
Here are detailed guides for each record type:
Add multiple DNS records at once
Click Add more records below the form to add another record row, then fill in each row’s Type, Name, Value, and TTL. Click the trash icon next to a row to remove it. The button updates to show how many records you’re adding, for example Add 3 records. Click the button to save all the records at once.

Connect services with Quick setup
The Quick setup area in the Manage DNS records card connects your domain to an external service with one click and adds the required DNS records automatically. Quick setup options include Shopify, Google Workspace (Gmail), and Google site verification.

Edit or delete DNS records
The full list of DNS records for your domain appears below the Manage DNS records card, with each record’s Type, Name, Priority, Content, and TTL. Use the Search bar to find a specific record, and use the arrows next to each column name to sort the list.
Each record has a pencil icon to edit it and a trash icon to delete it.

-
Delete – click the trash icon next to the record. A confirmation prompt appears. Click Delete to confirm, which helps prevent accidental removal of records.
-
Edit – click the pencil icon, enter the new type, name, target, and TTL values, then click Update.
After changing your DNS records, wait up to 24 hours for them to propagate. Even if your domain’s nameservers point to an external provider, you can still proactively manage your DNS records in Hostinger dashboard. Changes made here are ready to take effect as soon as you switch the nameservers back to Hostinger.
Delete multiple DNS records at once
To remove several records in one go:
- Select the checkboxes next to the records you want to delete.
- Click the Delete selected button that appears at the top of the table.
- Confirm the deletion in the prompt.

Restore DNS records from DNS history
To restore your DNS zone to a previous version, select the DNS history tab and click Restore next to the date you want to roll back to:

Review the DNS snapshot to make sure these are the records you want to use to fully replace the current values.
Then, scroll down and select the checkbox to accept that restoring DNS may affect your current website and that the changes take some time to apply.
Click Restore DNS zone. Your DNS records are restored once propagation is complete.
Import and export DNS records
Hostinger dashboard also lets you bulk import and export DNS records using a standard BIND zone file. The Export and Import buttons are in the top-right corner of the Manage DNS records card.
How to export DNS records
- Go to Hostinger dashboard → Domains.
- Click Manage next to your domain.
- Open DNS / Nameservers from the left sidebar.
- Click Export.

- A
.txtfile in BIND zone file format (RFC 1035) downloads to your device.
Exporting creates a portable backup of your DNS zone before you make bulk changes.
How to import DNS records
- Go to Hostinger dashboard → Domains.
- Click Manage next to your domain.
- Open DNS / Nameservers from the left sidebar.
- Click Import.

- Upload your BIND zone file (
.txt, RFC 1035 format).

- Choose your import mode:
- Append – imported records are added alongside existing ones.
- Replace – all existing DNS records are removed and replaced with the imported ones.
- Confirm the import.
Manage subdomain DNS records in the Subdomains tab
The Subdomains tab on the DNS / Nameservers page of your main domain lists all subdomains associated with the domain, so you can view and manage their DNS records without leaving the main domain.
To manage a subdomain’s DNS records:
- Open the Subdomains tab on the DNS / Nameservers page.
- Select the subdomain under Select a subdomain.
- Use the Manage DNS records card for the selected subdomain to add records, use Quick setup, add several records with Add more records, or Export and Import records.
- Edit or delete existing records from the records list below the card.

The DNS view adapts based on how each subdomain was set up:
- Subdomains added as separate websites – these have their own dedicated DNS management section, separate from the main domain’s DNS records.
- Regular subdomains or subdomains created via a domain’s DNS – these are managed under the main domain’s DNS records.
If your main domain has hosting connected, a Create subdomain button also appears next to the subdomain list, so you can quickly create a new subdomain.
With the DNS / Nameservers page in Hostinger dashboard, you can keep every DNS record for your domain and its subdomains up to date from one place.
