Hostinger partners with Patchstack to bring vulnerability management to Node.js hosting

Hostinger customers now receive automatic security scanning for application dependencies, helping protect AI-built applications after deployment.

Hostinger, an AI-driven business growth platform, has partnered with Patchstack, a leader in open-source vulnerability intelligence, to introduce built-in vulnerability management for its Node.js hosting. Applications are now continuously scanned for newly disclosed vulnerabilities in their dependencies, with customers automatically alerted and guided through remediation when issues are identified.

AI-powered development tools have lowered the barrier to building full-stack applications. While applications can now be built and deployed in minutes, they often rely on dozens of third-party packages that builders never manually review, making them a common source of security vulnerabilities. New security issues in popular npm packages are disclosed constantly, and the rapid growth of AI-generated code is only accelerating the problem. Yet many solo builders and small teams lack the time or resources to continuously monitor these dependencies after deployment.

“When you’re building with AI tools, you’re focused on getting the product live, not on what happens to your dependencies six months later,” said Arnas Donauskas, Web Hosting Product Manager at Hostinger. “That’s where the risk builds up, and that’s what this partnership with Patchstack is designed to handle.”

To address this challenge, Hostinger has integrated Patchstack’s open-source vulnerability intelligence directly into its Node.js hosting platform. When a vulnerability affects a customer’s application, Hostinger automatically flags it and guides how to resolve it. The monitoring runs continuously in the background, allowing developers to focus on shipping features instead of manually tracking security advisories.

Designed with AI-built, or “vibe-coded,” applications in mind, Hostinger’s Node.js hosting enables developers to export projects from tools like Lovable to GitHub and deploy them in minutes with automatic framework detection. The platform supports major frontend and backend Node.js frameworks across versions 18.x through 24.x.

As Donauskas highlighted, “You connect your GitHub repo, your framework is detected, and you’re live in minutes. No servers to manage, and with flat pricing, your bill stays steady while you build.”

With the Patchstack integration, ongoing vulnerability monitoring becomes part of the hosting experience rather than another tool developers need to configure and maintain. Combined with Hostinger’s flat-rate Business web hosting, the platform aims to reduce both operational complexity and unexpected costs.

“AI has made it much easier to build applications, but security doesn’t end at deployment. Open-source dependencies keep changing, so developers need ongoing visibility into new vulnerabilities, not just a one-time scan,” said Oliver Sild, CEO and co-founder of Patchstack.

Patchstack-powered vulnerability management is now available for Node.js applications hosted on Hostinger’s Business web hosting and cloud hosting plans, including Cloud Startup, Cloud Professional, Cloud Enterprise, and Cloud Enterprise Plus. The feature is enabled by default and requires no additional setup.
