Hostinger Reach adds WhatsApp as a marketing channel alongside email

For a lot of businesses on Hostinger, email is only half the conversation. Their customers are on WhatsApp as well, and now Hostinger Reach lets them send marketing campaigns there from the same tool they already use for email.

Hostinger customer Nando Durá, a citrus farmer in Valencia, Spain, built his direct-to-consumer business by taking orders over WhatsApp one message at a time. It worked because that’s where his customers were, but every new order meant another conversation to manage.

He eventually moved order-taking to his website, but that didn’t change; his audience across the Iberian Peninsula still defaulted to WhatsApp. It was still the channel they checked and trusted.

Now, thanks to WhatsApp in Reach, a business like Nando’s can send a seasonal broadcast to opted-in customers announcing that the oranges have just been picked, without managing it conversation by conversation.

“Our customers already have their email marketing set up in Reach, with brand details, connected websites, and contact syncing in place. Adding WhatsApp lets them bring the same marketing message to their audience through different channels, all from one place,” said Miglė Padelytė, Product Manager for Reach at Hostinger.

How it works

The customer connects their WhatsApp Business Account to Reach through Meta’s Embedded Signup. That requires a dedicated phone number that isn’t active in the WhatsApp consumer or Business app, along with admin access to their Meta business assets. Most businesses end up using a separate marketing number and keep their existing one for conversations.

Once the number is connected, the customer builds marketing templates in the Reach editor and submits them to Meta for approval. Templates can be built manually or with AI, which uses the business’s brand details and, if a Hostinger store is connected, specific product details or discount codes to write a ready-to-submit message.

When a template is approved, they can select it for a campaign, choose recipients from their existing contact list, and send.

Before a campaign goes out, Reach shows an estimated cost broken down by destination country, and only delivered messages are billed. The first 300 credits are free after connecting a WhatsApp Business Account.

Campaigns go only to contacts who’ve opted in to WhatsApp, so the audience is already expecting to hear from the business.

Delivered count, read rate, and opt-outs update in the Reach dashboard as Meta reports activity, giving the customer a clear picture of how the campaign performed alongside their email results.

Availability

WhatsApp campaigns are included with Reach Pro plans at no extra subscription cost. The feature is available to Reach customers globally, except for messages to US phone numbers, which are excluded per Meta’s policy.

Hostinger Reach is an AI-powered email marketing tool built into Hostinger’s platform.

With WhatsApp alongside email, the next time Nando picks his oranges, he can tell every subscriber at once instead of one chat at a time.
