What are Hostinger AI Agent Skills?

Skills are structured, guided tasks built into each Hostinger AI agent. They are the most efficient way to get a specific result without having to determine the correct prompt yourself. When you select a skill, the agent takes the lead by breaking the task into steps and asking you the necessary questions in a logical order.

For example, selecting Keyword Research with Scout will prompt you for details about your business, your target audience, and the topics you care about, then deliver a prioritized keyword list. You do not need to know SEO methodology to get a useful output.

Differences between Skills and Chat

Skills and chat are two ways of working with the same agent within the same conversation:

  • Skills: Ideal when you have a specific goal, e.g. “I need a privacy policy,” “I want to find keywords,” or “I need a cold outreach sequence.”
  • Chat: Better when you want to brainstorm, ask general questions, explore an idea, or perform a task that does not fit into an existing skill.

You can start with a skill and continue chatting afterward to refine the output.

How to use a Hostinger AI Skill

You can initiate skills using two methods:

  • From the Skills Menu: Open an agent conversation and select the Skills menu. Choose your desired skill to start the guided flow.

  • From chat using the slash command: Type / in the chat input field to get a list of the available skills for the active agent. Select a skill from the list to start it inline during your conversation.

Do skills cost more Agent credits?

No. Skills and chat both use Hostinger AI Agent credits the same way, based on message length and complexity. There is no premium for using a skill.

Tips for better skill results

  • Provide specific answers when prompted by a skill. For example, if a skill asks about your target audience, if your answer is “everyone,” the output will be generic.
  • Review the skills menu descriptions to determine which tool best fits your current project.
  • If you want to refine the idea before selecting a skill, you can start chatting and later switch to a skill once you have a specific task in mind.
