Setting up your Hostinger Email account on Outlook

Updated 1 week ago

IMPORTANT: The new Outlook app no longer supports IMAP/POP connections and cannot connect to Hostinger Email. This guide applies only to Classic Outlook, which Microsoft is phasing out by April 2026.

If you’re using the new Outlook or experiencing connection issues, see: New Outlook app not connecting to Hostinger email: What you need to know.

To set up Hostinger Email on Outlook manually, refer to the articles below:

To set up Hostinger Email on Outlook automatically, make sure that:

  1. You have created an email account with Hostinger Email

  2. Your domain is pointed to Hostinger

  3. The correct Hostinger Email MX records are added to your domain’s DNS zone

Then, proceed with the steps below 👇

Step 1 – Add CNAME records

To have Outlook configured automatically, add the following CNAME records to your domain’s DNS zone:

Name (host)

Target (points to)

TTL

autodiscover.domain.tld

autodiscover.mail.hostinger.com

300

autoconfig.domain.tld

autoconfig.mail.hostinger.com

300

Make sure to replace the domain.tld with your actual domain name 💡

After creating the CNAME records, wait up to 24 hours for the changes to propagate worldwide. You may use the DNS Checker tool to check the progress of DNS propagation. Once the propagation is over, go to the next step.

Step 2 — Set up your email account on Outlook

In Outlook, add a new email account. The procedure may differ depending on your Outlook version. Make sure to check this article for detailed guidance.

Give it some time after inserting an email address and password; 10 minutes is usually enough. After that’s completed, Outlook will be successfully connected to your mailbox at Hostinger.
