KIT Club: Cyber Security

KIT Club: Cyber Security

KIT Club is a community that unites IT companies operating in Kaunas, Lithuania. Community members include representatives of the academic community, IT enthusiasts, and all curious people who want to know and share their knowledge about the IT world and its diversity. They meet to discuss the latest technology and trends as well as actively develop ideas to implement them.

Each time, more and more people attend informal meet-ups dedicated to topics ranging from coding to project management. On 25 November, KIT Club, in collaboration with Hostinger, invited the community to join three outstanding speakers in a discussion on Cyber Security.

A Diverse View of Cyber Security

This time, Cyber Security experts shared their knowledge and insights on the following topics:

  • Egidijus Navardauskas, the Head of Cyber Security at Hostinger, introduced OSINT tools and demonstrated how attackers could easily find vulnerable targets via publicly available information.
  • Justinas Radzevičius, the Information Technology Security Analyst at Devbridge, introduced phishing attack simulations, overlooked Devbridge’s approach on testing employees’ awareness levels, and discussed the tools to avoid phishing as the most common social engineering attack these days.
  • Mike Robson, the Head of Quality Assurance at TransUnion, led us through the complex journey to make web applications secure.
