Hoodik is a lightweight encrypted file storage server written in Rust. Every file is encrypted and decrypted inside the browser using a hybrid RSA-2048 plus AEGIS-128L scheme, so the server only ever stores ciphertext. Even file names are tokenized and hashed before they leave your device, which lets the server match search queries without learning what you are looking for.
Self-hosting Hoodik on your own VPS keeps your private files, encryption keys, and share links entirely outside the reach of third-party cloud providers. The single Rust binary ships with SQLite and local chunked storage by default, so there is no extra database or object store to operate.
