By default, child pages carry their parent page&rsquo;s slug in their URL.<\/p><p>For instance, the URL of the <strong>Hostinger Tutorials<\/strong> parent page is <strong>\/tutorials\/<\/strong>, while the <strong>WordPress <\/strong>child page is <a href=\"\/tutorials\/wordpress\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\/tutorials\/wordpress<\/a>.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-set-parent-and-child-pages-in-wordpress\">How to Set Parent and Child Pages in WordPress<\/h2><p>To establish a hierarchical page structure, you&rsquo;ll need to publish your first page in WordPress. It allows visitors to find the information they&rsquo;re looking for much faster and easier, improving the user experience and the site&rsquo;s navigation.<\/p><p>There are three ways to display a list of your child pages &#8210; using a WordPress plugin, coding it manually, or editing the page template.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-use-a-plugin-to-show-the-list-of-child-pages\">Use a Plugin to Show the List of Child Pages<\/h3><p>This method is the easiest because it streamlines the configuration process. The <a href=\"\/tutorials\/best-wordpress-plugins\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">best WordPress plugins<\/a> provide shortcode parameters to add the list of child pages to a parent page and set the list style.<\/p><p>There are plenty of plugins available in the WordPress directory. In this tutorial, we&rsquo;ll be using <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/page-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Page-list<\/a>.
