{"id":770,"date":"2022-09-07T15:13:55","date_gmt":"2022-09-07T15:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.hostinger.io\/support\/2022\/09\/07\/6539075-hostinger-website-builder-linking-google-merchant-center-and-google-ads-accounts\/"},"modified":"2026-03-16T12:12:05","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T12:12:05","slug":"6539075-hostinger-website-builder-linking-google-merchant-center-and-google-ads-accounts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/6539075-hostinger-website-builder-linking-google-merchant-center-and-google-ads-accounts\/","title":{"rendered":"Hostinger Website Builder: Linking Google Merchant Center and Google Ads Accounts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"no-margin\">One of the requirements to <b><a href=\"\/support\/6539056-website-builder-google-shopping\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">set up Google Shopping<\/a> <\/b>is having your Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts linked.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">When you approve a link between your Google Ads and Merchant Center accounts, you&rsquo;ll allow your product data to flow from Merchant Center to Google Ads for use in advertising campaigns.<\/p><ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Only a Merchant Center account user can request to link the accounts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Once the Google Ads account owner approves the request, some information is shared between accounts<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Google Ads account owners and either admin or standard Merchant Center users can remove the link at any time<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">If you remove the account link, Shopping campaigns that rely on product data from this Merchant Center account will stop serving ads<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">You&rsquo;ll need to have <b><a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/google-ads\/answer\/9978556\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" rel=\"noopener\">admin access<\/a> <\/b>to your Google Ads account to link Google Ads and Merchant Center accounts<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h_011de494cf\">Request Link to Google Ads in Merchant Center<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">Before you start, be aware of your <b>Google Ads ID<\/b>. It&rsquo;s the 10-digit number in the top right corner of Google Ads (xxx-xxx-xxxx).<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">1. In your<b> Merchant Center<\/b> account, click on the settings icon, and under <b>Settings<\/b> click <b>Linked accounts<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2022\/09\/af8f817a-8cc1-4cae-8162-d22f9f62a5b6.jpg\" alt=\"Linked accounts settings in Google Merchant Center\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">2. Select <b>Google Ads<\/b>.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">3. The last step depends on whether you are linking your own Google Ads account or not.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">If it&rsquo;s <b>your own account<\/b>, then under <b>Your Google Ads account<\/b>, find the Google Ads customer ID of the account you want to link. You can find the customer ID at the top of any Google Ads page when you&rsquo;re signed in, near your email address. Click <b>Link<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2022\/09\/d5b2d35a-5caf-4f93-ad35-5b120b8d713c.jpg\" alt=\"Linked accounts settings in Google Merchant Center\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">If it&rsquo;s<b> another account<\/b>, under <b>Other Google Ads accounts<\/b>, click <b>Link account<\/b> and enter the Google Ads customer ID of the account you want to link. Finally, click <b>Send link request<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2022\/09\/4f3081d1-d29e-4d8b-bf76-c25064df6bcf.jpg\" alt=\"Linked accounts settings in Google Merchant Center\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_75d70ecfdb\">Approve Link Request in Google Ads<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">1. Sign in to your <b>Google Ads<\/b> account. Click on <b>Tools &amp; settings<\/b> in the top-right and select <b>Linked accounts<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2022\/09\/caf88ccb-5f5f-41e2-bd72-df9ef92c96a7.jpg\" alt=\"Linked accounts settings in Google Ads\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">2. Under <b>Your linked accounts and products<\/b>, find <b>Google Merchant Center<\/b>, then click <b>Details<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2022\/09\/2ba41baf-b155-4334-9725-3a61a4e19235.jpg\" alt=\"Linked accounts settings in Google Ads\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">3. Find the account you want to link. The <b>Status<\/b> column will say <b>Needs your approval<\/b>. Click <b>View request<\/b> and review the request details.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">4. To approve the link, click <b>Approve<\/b>. To reject this link, click <b>Reject<\/b>.
