Hostinger Reach creates tags automatically from website forms and CSV imports, and you can create, assign, and remove tags manually from the Tags and Contacts pages. Each Hostinger Reach account supports up to 180 unique tags, with up to 50 tags per contact.<\/span><\/p><h2 id=\"h-what-are-tags-in-hostinger-reach\"><b>What are tags in Hostinger Reach?<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A tag is a label applied to contacts that helps categorize them based on how they were collected or what they represent.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tags are mainly used for:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Organizing contacts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Creating precise audience segments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Targeting specific groups in campaigns and automations<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For example:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You upload a CSV file and assign a tag like <\/span><b>VIP clients<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Later, you create a segment that includes only contacts with this tag<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You send campaigns exclusively to that audience<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h-how-tags-are-used-in-segmentation\"><b>How tags are used in segmentation<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tags are most powerful when combined with segments.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When creating a segment, you can:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Include contacts that have a specific tag<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Exclude contacts that do not have a specific tag<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Combine multiple tag conditions<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><h3><b>Example segment logic<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Contacts that:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have <\/span><b>Tag A<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">AND have <\/span><b>Tag B<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">AND do not have <\/span><b>Tag C<\/b><b><br>\n<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This allows you to create highly targeted audiences using simple tag-based rules.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can also create a segment directly from a specific tag on the <strong>Tags<\/strong> page, under <strong>Audience &rarr; WordPress)<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When you connect a:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hostinger AI Builder site, or<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WordPress site<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and your site has subscription forms:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reach automatically creates a tag using the form&rsquo;s title<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A segment based on that tag is also created automatically<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This gives you an immediate starting point for targeting contacts who subscribed through a specific form.<\/span><\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tags and segments are created only after at least one form submission is received.<\/span><\/div><h3><b>Tags from CSV imports<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">When uploading contacts via a CSV file:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You are prompted to assign a tag to the import<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can select an existing tag or create a new one<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Reach suggests a tag automatically when uploading a .CSV file, including:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Import date<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CSV file name<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8305\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/2026-03-04_11-44_1.png\" alt=\"Hostinger Reach import screen with create segment toggle on and add to contacts button\" width=\"1036\" height=\"514\" data-media-id=\"8305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/2026-03-04_11-44_1.png 1036w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/2026-03-04_11-44_1-300x149.png 300w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/2026-03-04_11-44_1-1024x508.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/2026-03-04_11-44_1-768x381.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1036px) 100vw, 1036px\" \/><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once the import is completed:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The tag is applied to all imported contacts<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A segment based on that tag can be created during import (if you selected to create one)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If you want multiple CSV imports to belong to the same group, reuse the same tag across imports.<\/span><\/div><h2 id=\"h-managing-tags\"><b>Managing tags<\/b><\/h2><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You can create tags manually at any time.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To create and manage tags:<\/span><\/p><ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Go to <strong>Audience &rarr; Contacts without tags show a dash (&mdash;), and <b>+N<\/b> shows tags that don&rsquo;t fit in the cell. To show only contacts with a specific tag, use the <b>Filter by tag<\/b> dropdown above the table.
