Migrate an existing website during hosting plan setup<\/h2>

Create a new website during hosting plan setup<\/h2>
After you select No<\/b>, the chat asks you to tell it about yourself. There are three options:<\/p>

Select I’m building a website myself without coding<\/b>, then answer the questions about your website:<\/p>

- Select what you want to build: Show your work or ideas<\/b>, Sell products or services<\/b>, or Build a tool or app<\/b>. You can also type your own idea under Other<\/b>.<\/li>\n
- Describe what the website is about in a few words.<\/li>\n
- Select the features you want, such as Online payments<\/b>, Bookings & appointments<\/b>, A contact form<\/b>, or Live chat<\/b>.<\/li>\n
- Select a look and feel: Minimalistic & focused<\/b>, Bold & expressive<\/b>, Warm & friendly<\/b>, or Elegant & editorial<\/b>. You can also type your own idea under Other<\/b>.<\/li>\n
- Choose how to build the website, then click Continue<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
A summary of your answers appears in the panel next to the chat. There are three build options:<\/p>

Push your code, we host it<\/b><\/p>
After you choose a domain and a data centre, the Deploy your web app<\/b> card offers four ways to provide your code:<\/p>

- Import your Git repository<\/b> – Click Connect with GitHub<\/b> or Connect with GitLab<\/b>. The app deploys now and redeploys automatically on every push.<\/li>\n
- Public repository URL<\/b> – Enter the URL of a public GitHub or GitLab repository and click Next<\/b>.<\/li>\n
- Upload your files<\/b> – Upload your app as a single
.zip<\/code>,.tar.gz<\/code>,.tgz<\/code>,.tar<\/code>, or.gz<\/code> archive.<\/li>\n- Start from a template<\/b> – Search for and select a pre-built GitHub template.<\/li>\n<\/ul>

Build on WordPress<\/b><\/p>
After you choose a domain and a data centre, complete the Create login details for your WordPress website<\/b> card:<\/p>
- \n
- Enter the Admin email<\/b>, Admin password<\/b>, and Admin username<\/b>, and select the Admin language<\/b>. The password must be 8–50 characters long and use only Latin letters, with at least one number, one symbol, one lowercase letter, and one uppercase letter.

<\/li>\n- Click Build from scratch<\/b> to install a blank WordPress website, or Create website with AI<\/b> to generate the website with AI after installation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
WordPress installs on your domain, and the Your website is ready<\/b> card appears. If you selected Create website with AI<\/b>, click Create website with AI<\/b> on the card to open Hostinger AI Website Builder for WordPress<\/a> in your WordPress admin panel.<\/p>
Upload your PHP or HTML<\/b><\/p>
After you choose a domain, your hosting will be set up. To upload files after the setup instead, see How to upload a website from backups<\/a>.<\/p>
Invite a developer during hosting plan setup<\/h3>
Selecting I hired someone to build my site<\/b> or A developer will migrate it for me<\/b> opens the Invite someone to help you create or migrate your site<\/b> card:<\/p>

- Enter the email address of the person you want to invite.<\/li>\n
- Optionally, select the checkbox to allow them to make purchases, such as a domain or email, using your default payment method.<\/li>\n
- Click Continue<\/b>, then confirm your identity with the verification code. The invite is then emailed to the person you entered.<\/li>\n<\/ol>

- Deploy from GitHub<\/b> – Connect your GitHub repository and deploy it automatically. This option works with static websites, WordPress, PHP, and other websites, and Node.js apps.<\/li>\n<\/ul>

Deploy from GitHub<\/b> opens the Install & Authorize Hostinger<\/b> page on GitHub. Select All repositories<\/b> or Only select repositories<\/b>, then click Install & Authorize<\/b> to return to Hostinger dashboard.<\/p>

Choose a domain and data centre during hosting plan setup<\/h2>
Both setup methods ask: What domain name do you want to use for this website?<\/b> Type a domain you want to register or a domain you already own, select it, and click Next<\/b>. To set up the website without a custom domain, click Use temporary domain<\/b>.<\/p>

<\/p>If your hosting plan includes a free domain<\/a>, the manual setup shows how many free domains are available. Click Which domain extensions are free?<\/b> to see the eligible extensions.<\/p>
A temporary domain uses a random address on
hostingersite.com<\/code>. You can connect a custom domain<\/a> later.<\/p>For Node.js and WordPress websites set up in the chat, the chat then asks: Where is your target audience located?<\/b> Select a Country<\/b> and click Continue<\/b>. The data centre closest to that country hosts your website. For the available locations, see Hostinger server locations<\/a>.<\/p>
