If you&rsquo;re not sure which database, check your <b><a href=\"\/support\/3313359-where-to-find-your-website-s-configuration-file\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">website&rsquo;s configuration file<\/a><\/b> and look for the <b>name of the database<\/b>. If you use WordPress, you may also refer to this tutorial:<b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/tutorials\/wordpress\/how-to-find-out-wordpress-database-name\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">How to Find Your WordPress Database Name<\/a><\/b> &#128161;<\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">On hPanel, go to <b><a href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a> <\/b>and click on<b> Manage <\/b>next to the website in question. The time indicates when the backup was created, in your local timezone.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Choose the backup preferred date from these options and click <b>Download files<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/04\/4cc5bfff-2ad5-4de8-be5d-3629af73eb4b.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">After clicking on <b>Download files<\/b>, you will be notified that backup preparation has started. The time will vary depending on the size of your backup. The downloaded archive will contain all of your website&rsquo;s files &#128522;<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">A similar process applies when downloading generated databases &ndash; select <b>Database backups<\/b>. Select your website&rsquo;s database and the backup date, then click on <b>Download database<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/04\/19f98fc7-67e7-4c0f-9887-c8f9b38566ea.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Ensure the database selected matches your <a href=\"\/support\/3313359-how-to-find-the-website-s-configuration-file\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">website&rsquo;s configuration<\/a>.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">That&rsquo;s how you download your website&rsquo;s files and databases.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_abcb2e1f71\">Step 2 &ndash; Add a New Website to Your Preferred Hostinger Account<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">On hPanel, go to <b><a href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a><\/b>, click on <b>Add website<\/b>, select the preferred hosting plan, and click on <b>Select plan<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/04\/5b890448-4d7e-47b8-bc64-658a529bf782.jpg\" alt=\"Downloading the database backups\" width=\"500\"><\/div><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">\n<p class=\"no-margin\">You won&rsquo;t be asked to specify the preferred hosting plan if you only have one &#128161; <\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">In the step <b>Select a Platform<\/b>, select <b>WordPress <\/b>and insert the required details. Finally, <b>specify the preferred domain name <\/b>and click on <b>Continue<\/b>.<\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">\n<p class=\"no-margin\">If you want to use a domain that&rsquo;s in another Hostinger account, you may be asked to <b>verify the domain ownership<\/b> &ndash; it&rsquo;s easy &ndash; follow <b><a href=\"\/support\/4771440-how-to-verify-domain-ownership\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">these instructions<\/a><\/b> &#128161; <\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">That&rsquo;s how you add your website to another hosting plan. Now, all you need to do is upload your website&rsquo;s files and databases.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_64dde81858\">Step 3 &ndash; Upload Your Website&rsquo;s Backup<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">There are <b><a href=\"\/support\/1884234-how-to-upload-backups-at-hostinger\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">multiple ways to upload backups<\/a><\/b>, but the easiest one is to use the <b>file manager<\/b> &ndash; the upload limit is <b>100 GB<\/b>. There&rsquo;s no big difference if you upload the website&rsquo;s files or its database first.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_d933b71f01\">Upload Website Files<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">On hPanel, go to <b><a href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a> <\/b>and click on<b> Manage <\/b>next to the website in question. To do this, <b>open the folder containing the extracted website files<\/b> (in our case, it&rsquo;s called <i>backups<\/i>) &rarr;<b> domains<\/b> &rarr; <b>select the domain in question<\/b> &rarr; open its <b>public_html <\/b>folder, select all the files, and click on <b>Move file <\/b>in the top-right:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/04\/3223e6da-a32f-4ecc-a880-77f799b1e4d4.jpg\" alt=\"Navigating within the file manager\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">Double-click on <b>..<\/b> to go to the parent directory so that the destination would be <b>\/files\/public_html<\/b>,<b> <\/b>and click on <b>Move<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/04\/7a9f2550-e935-4143-9846-17a057a66e31.jpg\" alt=\"Navigating within the file manager\" width=\"200\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">The goal is to have all the website files in the <b>public_html <\/b>folder.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_0ff0aad543\">Upload the Database<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">You need to create a new database and import the backup there. To create a database, go to <b><a href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a> <\/b>and click<b> <\/b>on <b>Manage <\/b>next to the website in question. You can find and copy those details by opening your <b><a href=\"\/support\/3313359-where-to-find-configuration-file-of-my-website\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">website&rsquo;s configuration file<\/a> <\/b>in the file manager. <\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">For <b>WordPress<\/b> websites, it&rsquo;s in the<b> public_html<\/b> &rarr; <b>wp-config.php<\/b> file:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">DB_NAME = MySQL database name, e.g., u123456789_<b>abcd<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">DB_USER = MySQL username, e.g., u123456789_<b>efgh<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">DB_PASSWORD = your preferred password<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">Once you fill in the details, click on <b>Create<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/04\/822942de-18dd-4534-95c5-63019bab064d.jpg\" alt=\"Creating a new database\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">This way, a new database is automatically assigned to the selected domain and appears in the <b>List of Current MySQL Databases And Users<\/b> section, where you will be able to <b><a href=\"\/support\/1864454-how-to-manage-mysql-databases\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">manage<\/a><\/b> it.<\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">\n<p class=\"no-margin\">The first part of the database name and username (u123456789) is unique and <b>cannot <\/b>be removed or changed &#128204;<\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">To import the backup of your database, click on <b><a href=\"\/support\/1583545-how-can-i-access-phpmyadmin\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">Enter phpMyAdmin<\/a><\/b> next to the newly created database.
