Creating an email account<\/h2>

Our hPanel<\/a> centralizes all your email management tasks in one place, making it easy to configure, monitor, and update your email settings.<\/p>

To create an email account, you must first make sure that you have a domain linked to a website. Then, follow these steps:<\/p>

  1. Log in to hPanel and navigate to Emails<\/strong> → Select “Buy email” or “Claim FREE Email” <\/strong>→ Set up<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    1. Start typing the domain for which you want to create an email account and select it from the dropdown or start a new registration. Then, select “Next”<\/li>\n<\/ol>

Ensure that your IMAP and POP3 settings also use secure ports – 993<\/strong> for IMAP<\/strong> and 995<\/strong> for POP3<\/strong>.<\/div>

          Although you can access your mailbox directly from the browser by going to mail.hostinger.com<\/strong>, you can also connect Hostinger Email to various email clients. Email clients usually offer additional features, such as offline access and the ability to manage multiple accounts in one app.<\/p>

          You can find instructions on connecting to various email clients in Step 2 of the Set Up Your Email Client on hPanel<\/strong> screen. Under Recommended apps<\/strong>, you can learn how to set up Hostinger email on Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and Gmail.<\/p>

          Can’t find the email client you want to set up? Most clients usually ask for IMAP\/POP and SMTP values during setup, which you can find under Server settings<\/strong> or by going to Emails → Manage → Connect Apps & Devices<\/strong>.<\/p>

          Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)<\/a> is needed to send outgoing mail from the email client to the server. Meanwhile, IMAP and POP<\/a> are internet mail protocols that allow email clients to retrieve emails from a mail server. For most scenarios, we recommend the IMAP protocol<\/strong> because it’s typically more secure and flexible than POP.<\/p>

          Let’s go over how to set up your new email account on two of the most popular email clients: Apple Mail <\/strong>and Gmail<\/strong>.<\/p>

          Apple Mail<\/h3>

          You can automatically configure Hostinger Email on all your Apple devices via hPanel.<\/p>

          1. Go to hPanel<\/strong> → Manage<\/strong> → Connect Apps & Devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          2. Under Apple auto-configuration, <\/strong>click Set up Apple devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          3. Enter the name you want displayed in your emails and select the Hostinger email address to which you’d like to connect. Click Continue<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          4. Scan the QR code <\/strong>or click Download profile<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
          5. Go to your Apple device’s settings. If you used Safari to download the profile, you will see the Profile Downloaded <\/strong>option.<\/li>\n
          6. Install<\/strong> the profile.<\/li>\n
          7. Enter your name and password for your Hostinger email account. You may also need to enter your device password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>

            Gmail<\/h3>

            Connecting Hostinger Email to Gmail’s mobile app<\/strong> is also simple. Follow these steps:<\/p>

            1. Open the Gmail mobile app and go to Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            2. Click Add Account<\/strong> → Other<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            3. Enter your Hostinger email address and click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            4. Choose between POP3 and IMAP as the account type. For this tutorial, we will choose IMAP<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
            5. Enter your email address’ password.<\/li>\n
            6. In the Incoming server settings <\/strong>screen, enter imap.hostinger.com <\/strong>in the Server <\/strong>field.<\/li>\n
            7. In the Outgoing server settings <\/strong>screen, enter smtp.hostinger.com <\/strong>in the SMTP server<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n
            8. Feel free to set up your preferences, such as the email sync frequency, notifications, and more.<\/li>\n
            9. Finally, enter the name you want displayed on your emails.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
