By serving your website from the nearest and fastest servers to your visitors, it significantly reduces load times.<\/p><p>At Hostinger, if you have a Premium Web, Business Web, Cloud or Agency hosting plan, you can use the Hostinger CDN to access various optimization tools.<\/p><ul>\n<li><span data-path-to-node=\"25,0,1,0,0,1\"><span class=\"citation-406\">If you have a Single hosting plan, you can <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-upgrade\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/1583459-how-can-i-upgrade-my-hosting-account\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upgrade<\/a>&nbsp;your plan to access this feature. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"no-margin\">Hostinger CDN is not available for VPS. See <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-hostinger-cdn-vs-cloudflare\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/hostinger-cdn-vs-cloudflare\/\">Hostinger CDN vs Cloudflare<\/a> to understand the difference.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0\">Hostinger CDN settings can be customized for websites created with PHP, HTML, Node.js, or an open source CMS like WordPress.<\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\"><a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-optimization-for-websites-created\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583325-how-to-optimize-your-website-to-make-it-load-faster-at-hostinger\/\">Optimization for websites created<\/a> with Hostinger AI Builder and websites using a <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-temporary-domain\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/10085905-how-to-connect-a-preferred-domain-name-instead-of-a-temporary-one\/\">temporary domain<\/a> are handled automatically and cannot be modified.<\/div><h2 id=\"h_08166c9011\">How to enable Hostinger CDN<\/h2><ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>Hostinger dashboard<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&rarr;<\/span> <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-websites\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <b>Dashboard<\/b> next to the website.\n<ol>\n<li>For web and cloud hosting, select <strong>Performance<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>CDN <\/strong>on the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<li>For Agency hosting, select&nbsp;<strong>CDN<\/strong> directly on the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Check the CDN status. Each eligible domain receives an email notification before Hostinger applies the change. Enabling CDN updates the domain&rsquo;s A and AAAA records to route traffic through the Hostinger CDN network. Custom A or AAAA records, such as those pointing to an external server or a legacy hosting plan, may be overwritten by this change.<\/p>\n<p>To restore custom DNS records: disable Hostinger CDN from Hostinger dashboard &rarr; Websites &rarr; Dashboard &rarr; Performance &rarr; CDN, then restore your original A and AAAA records following <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-how-to-manage-dns-records-at-hostinger\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583249-how-to-manage-dns-records-at-hostinger\/\">How to manage DNS records at Hostinger<\/a>. Allow up to 24 hours for DNS propagation.<\/p>\n<\/div><h2 id=\"h_24925469c0\">How to manage Hostinger CDN settings<\/h2><p>Once enabled, click the Manage button to access optimization and security features. The Hostinger CDN dashboard is divided into four tabs: Analytics, Website optimization, Traffic blocking, and Security.<\/p><p><strong>NOTE<\/strong><\/p><ul>\n<li>The Manage page is not available on Agency Hosting plans. Agency Hosting users can enable or disable Hostinger CDN, turn on Development mode, and flush the cache, but cannot access the Analytics, Website optimization, Traffic blocking, or Security tabs.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h3>Analytics<\/h3><p>The Analytics tab provides a visual overview of your website&rsquo;s CDN performance. Use the <strong>Select period<\/strong> dropdown to filter data by 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, or 7 days. This section includes:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>Cache statuses<\/strong>: Displays how requests are handled: Hits (served from cache), Miss (fetched from origin), Dynamic (bypassed), Bypass (skipped by config), and Revalidated (refreshed content).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Status codes<\/strong>: Shows the distribution of HTTP response codes, such as 2xx (success), 3xx (redirects), 4xx (client errors), and 5xx (server errors). This helps identify traffic patterns or errors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HTTP requests<\/strong>: A line chart showing the total volume of requests handled over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h3 id=\"h_b5518795a5\">Website optimization<\/h3><p>This tab contains tools to improve site loading speeds:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>WebP image compression<\/strong>: Automatically converts images to the <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-webp\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/tutorials\/what-is-webp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WebP<\/a> format, which is approximately 30% smaller than JPEG without losing quality. This is enabled by default; to disable it, click on the toggle.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2023\/05\/9473b324-e4ba-425c-83b5-ec28c7360d06.jpg\" alt=\"Hostinger CDN WebP image compression toggle enabled on website optimisation tab\" width=\"718\" height=\"136\" data-media-id=\"2892\"><\/li>\n<li><strong>Smart image optimization:<\/strong>&nbsp;Automatically determines the best image width and quality for desktop and mobile devices. You can customize these settings manually or toggle the feature off.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9126\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt.png\" alt=\"Image optimization settings for maximum width and quality on desktop and mobile\" width=\"703\" height=\"287\" data-media-id=\"9126\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt.png 931w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt-300x122.png 300w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt-768x313.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul><h3 class=\"no-margin\">Traffic blocking<\/h3><p>The Traffic blocking tab allows you to restrict access at the CDN edge, preventing unwanted traffic from reaching your origin server:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>IP Blocking<\/strong>: Click <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-block-ip-address\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7930807-hostinger-cdn-how-to-block-ips\/\">Block IP address<\/a> to restrict a specific IP or range.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Country Blocking<\/strong>: Click <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-block-country\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7931101-hostinger-cdn-how-to-block-countries\/\">Block country<\/a> to select specific regions from a searchable list. You can manage and remove these rules at any time.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h3>Security<\/h3><p data-path-to-node=\"14\">The <b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"4\">Security<\/b> tab provides tools to protect your site from malicious threats and enforce encryption:<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\"><a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-security-level\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/10695636-hostinger-cdn-security-levels\/\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Security level<\/b><\/a>: Use the dropdown to set how aggressively the CDN <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-challenges-visitors\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/10695636-hostinger-cdn-security-levels\/\">challenges visitors<\/a> based on their threat score, including protection during active DDoS <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-attacks\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/8512979-hostinger-cdn-the-under-attack-mode\/\">attacks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Use only the latest TLS version (TLS 1.3)<\/b>: When enabled, this restricts connections to TLS 1.3 only for improved security. By default, both TLS 1.2 and 1.3 are supported to ensure compatibility with older devices.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,2,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Traffic over TLS<\/b>: A chart showing your traffic distribution by encryption protocol (Plain, TLS 1.2, or TLS 1.3) over the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h_cb55d22321\">How to disable Hostinger CDN<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">You can disable the service in two ways depending on your needs:<\/p><ul>\n<li class=\"no-margin\"><strong>Development mode<\/strong>: Use this to temporarily <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-disable-the-cache\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/hostinger-cdn-how-to-clear-the-cache\/\">disable the cache<\/a> for testing and reviewing website changes in real time.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-16195\"
