By serving your website from the nearest and fastest servers to your visitors, it significantly reduces load times.<\/p><p>At Hostinger, if you have a Business, cloud or Agency hosting plan, you can use the Hostinger CDN to access various optimization tools.<\/p><ul>\n<li><span data-path-to-node=\"25,0,1,0,0,1\"><span class=\"citation-406\">If you have a Single or Premium hosting plan, you can <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/1583459-how-can-i-upgrade-my-hosting-account\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">upgrade<\/a>&nbsp;your plan to access this feature. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"no-margin\">Hostinger CDN is not available for VPS. You may use a third-party service like&nbsp;<a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/4741545-how-to-use-cloudflare\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cloudflare<\/a> instead.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h1 data-path-to-node=\"6\" id=\"h-before-you-start\">Before you start<\/h1><ul>\n<li id=\"p-rc_209b477bfaf94e55-206\" data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0\"><span data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0,1\"><span class=\"citation-424\">Ensure your domain is pointing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583247-where-to-find-hostinger-nameservers\/\">Hostinger nameservers<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/4407303-where-to-find-the-a-record-of-your-hosting-plan-at-hostinger\/\">IP address<\/a> of your hosting plan.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li id=\"p-rc_209b477bfaf94e55-207\" data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0\"><span data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0,0\">Only one CDN should be enabled at a time. <\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0,2\"><span class=\"citation-423\">If you use a third-party service like Cloudflare, disable it before activating Hostinger CDN.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0\">Hostinger CDN settings can be customized for websites created with PHP, HTML, Node.js, or an open source CMS like WordPress.<\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">Optimization for websites created with Hostinger Website Builder, Hostinger Horizons, and websites using a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/10085905-how-to-connect-a-preferred-domain-name-instead-of-a-temporary-one\">temporary domain<\/a> are handled automatically and cannot be modified.<\/div><h1 id=\"h_08166c9011\">How to enable Hostinger CDN<\/h1><ol>\n<li>Go to <strong>hPanel<\/strong> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&rarr;<\/span> <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <b>Dashboard<\/b> next to the website.\n<ol>\n<li>For web and cloud hosting, select <strong>Performance<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>CDN <\/strong>on the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<li>For Agency hosting, select&nbsp;<strong>CDN<\/strong> directly on the left sidebar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Check the CDN status. The Hostinger CDN dashboard is divided into four tabs: Analytics, Website optimization, Traffic blocking, and Security.<\/p><h2 id=\"h-analytics\">Analytics<\/h2><p>The Analytics tab provides a visual overview of your website&rsquo;s CDN performance. Use the <strong>Select period<\/strong> dropdown to filter data by 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, or 7 days. This section includes:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>Cache statuses<\/strong>: Displays how requests are handled: Hits (served from cache), Miss (fetched from origin), Dynamic (bypassed), Bypass (skipped by config), and Revalidated (refreshed content).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Status codes<\/strong>: Shows the distribution of HTTP response codes, such as 2xx (success), 3xx (redirects), 4xx (client errors), and 5xx (server errors). This helps identify traffic patterns or errors.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HTTP requests<\/strong>: A line chart showing the total volume of requests handled over time.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h_b5518795a5\">Website optimization<\/h2><p>This tab contains tools to improve site loading speeds:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>WebP image compression<\/strong>: Automatically converts images to the <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/tutorials\/what-is-webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WebP<\/a> format, which is approximately 30% smaller than JPEG without losing quality. You can customize these settings manually or toggle the feature off.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-9126\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt.png\" alt=\"Image optimization settings for maximum width and quality on desktop and mobile\" width=\"703\" height=\"287\" data-media-id=\"9126\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt.png 931w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt-300x122.png 300w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/03\/hostinger-cdn-smart-imag-opt-768x313.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 703px) 100vw, 703px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 class=\"no-margin\" id=\"h-traffic-blocking\">Traffic blocking<\/h2><p>The Traffic blocking tab allows you to restrict access at the CDN edge, preventing unwanted traffic from reaching your origin server:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>IP Blocking<\/strong>: Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7930807-hostinger-cdn-how-to-block-ips\/\">Block IP address<\/a> to restrict a specific IP or range.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Country Blocking<\/strong>: Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7931101-hostinger-cdn-how-to-block-countries\/\">Block country<\/a> to select specific regions from a searchable list. You can manage and remove these rules at any time.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h-security\">Security<\/h2><p data-path-to-node=\"14\">The <b data-path-to-node=\"14\" data-index-in-node=\"4\">Security<\/b> tab provides tools to protect your site from malicious threats and enforce encryption:<\/p><ul data-path-to-node=\"15\">\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Security level<\/b>: Use the dropdown to set how aggressively the CDN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/10695636-hostinger-cdn-security-levels\/\">challenges visitors<\/a> based on their threat score, including protection during active DDoS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/8512979-hostinger-cdn-the-under-attack-mode\/\">attacks<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"15,1,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Use only the latest TLS version (TLS 1.3)<\/b>: When enabled, this restricts connections to TLS 1.3 only for improved security.
