your website may be temporarily unavailable during the transfer<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This process works for moving websites:&nbsp;<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#9675; Between hosting plans in the same account&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#9675; Between different Hostinger accounts<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">You&rsquo;ll need access to both the source (old) and destination (new) hosting plans<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#10071;<\/span><b>IMPORTANT NOTES<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#10071;<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This procedure doesn&rsquo;t apply for websites created with Hostinger Website Builder: moving builder-based sites between Hostinger accounts is not yet available<\/span><b>.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The below steps are meant for WordPress-based websites<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For other content management systems, the flow might be slightly different.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">However, you&rsquo;ll still need to download and upload files (and databases, if applicable) for all kinds of CMS.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><h1 id=\"h-option-1-using-a-plugin\"><b>Option 1 &ndash; Using a plugin<\/b><\/h1><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This procedure is recommended for websites with a total size of less than 512MB (including both files and database):<\/span><\/p><ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Install the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/all-in-one-wp-migration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All-in-One WP Migration<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> plugin, generate and download the .wpress file.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7338133-moving-a-website-to-another-hostinger-account-keeping-the-same-domain\/#h_96a29906de\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Delete the original website<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7338133-moving-a-website-to-another-hostinger-account-keeping-the-same-domain\/#h_4de2d18988\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Add the website on your preferred hosting plan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/3220304\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Install WordPress on the new hosting plan<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Use the All-in-One WP Migration plugin to restore the .wpress file.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">If your website is larger than 512MB, you have the following alternatives:<\/span><\/p><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Manually create and restore backups as shown in the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7338133-moving-a-website-to-another-hostinger-account-keeping-the-same-domain\/#h_bb5ab8848c\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Option 2<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> below.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Purchase a license for the All-in-One WP Migration plugin &ndash; this will remove the upload size limit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><p>&nbsp;<\/p><h1 id=\"h-option-2-manually-creating-and-restoring-backups\"><b>Option 2 &ndash; Manually creating and restoring backups<\/b><\/h1><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This procedure is recommended for websites larger than 512MB, or if you prefer to perform the backup and restoration yourself.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before generating the backup, check and note the correct database name. If you&rsquo;re not sure which database, check your<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/3313359-where-to-find-your-website-s-configuration-file\/\"> <b>website&rsquo;s configuration file<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and look for the <\/span><b>name of the database<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
