You&rsquo;ll be prompted to select the Docker environment. Choose <b>Docker<\/b> and select the <b>local environment<\/b>.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Portainer will display the main dashboard, where you can manage containers, images, networks, and volumes.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_0db9c0be5f\">Troubleshooting Access Issues<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">As a security measure during the initial installation of Portainer, a 5-minute period is provided to create an administrator user as part of the setup process. If the admin user is not created within that time, the Portainer Server will stop accepting requests. In this case, to gain access to Portainer, you will need to <b>manually stop and restart the Portainer container<\/b>.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_9fc313bd78\">Step 2 &ndash; Deploy Your First Container<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">Click on the Containers tab in the left sidebar and select <b>Add Container<\/b>. Provide the necessary information, such as the container name, image to use, and any exposed ports or volumes.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Once configured, click <b>Deploy the container<\/b> to create and start the container.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_4e0f02c864\">Explore Portainer Features<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">You can use the <b>Portainer interface<\/b> to manage existing containers, create new ones, pull images from Docker Hub, and manage volumes and networks. The <b>dashboard<\/b> will provide you with useful information on container details, logs, and statistics to gain insights into your containerized applications.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_43ab461a34\">Step 3 &ndash; Manage Your Containers<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">You can update, scale, stop, or remove a container using Portainer:<\/p><ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">To <b>update <\/b>a container, navigate to the container&rsquo;s page and click <b>Recreate<\/b> after pulling the latest image version<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">For <b>scaling<\/b>, select the container and click <b>Duplicate\/Edit<\/b> to create multiple instances of the same container<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">To <b>stop or remove<\/b> a container, select the container and click <b>Stop<\/b> or <b>Remove<\/b>. Removing a container <b>will not delete its data<\/b>.
