An AAAA record<\/b>, also known as quad A<\/b>, is a type of DNS record used to map a domain name to an IPv6 address<\/b>. It is similar to an A record<\/a>, which maps a domain name to an IPv4 address, but AAAA records are specifically designed for IPv6 addresses. <\/p>

\n<\/p>

If your domain is pointing to Hostinger by nameservers<\/b>, you can manage AAAA records using the DNS zone editor<\/a><\/b>. For domains pointed elsewhere, use the DNS management tools provided by the respective platform<\/a>.<\/p>

\n<\/p>

Domains hosted at Hostinger have AAAA records added automatically when applicable. Alternatively, you can check with your hosting provider for the exact values to use. <\/p>

\n<\/p>

In case you have an AAAA record added and you may be asked to remove it by your hosting provider, or if you encounter compatibility issues, follow these steps:<\/p>

    Navigate to the Domains<\/a><\/b> section of your hPanel and click on Manage next to your domain name<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Select DNS\/Nameservers<\/b> from the sidebar<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Scroll or use the search bar<\/b> to find any existing AAAA records:

    Delete<\/b> the AAAA record:

    To enable managing of AAAA records for the root domain (@<\/code>), Hostinger CDN must be fully disabled<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    After making any changes to your DNS records, consider up to 24 hours for them to fully propagate<\/a>💡<\/p>
