The terminal opens below the editor in Hostinger File Manager and starts in your website&rsquo;s folder. The terminal runs over SSH, so SSH access must be turned on for your hosting plan.<\/p><h3>Before you start<\/h3><ul>\n<li>Your hosting plan includes SSH access. On plans without SSH, the <b>Terminal<\/b> icon doesn&rsquo;t appear in Hostinger File Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Your account uses the <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-new-hostinger-file-manager\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/4548688-basic-actions-in-the-file-manager-in-hostinger\/\">new Hostinger File Manager<\/a>, with a <b>Deploy<\/b> button in the top-right corner.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h-how-to-open-the-terminal-in-hostinger-file-manager\">How to open the terminal in Hostinger File Manager<\/h2><ol>\n<li>Go to Hostinger dashboard &rarr; <b>Websites<\/b>, hover over your website, and click <b>Manage site<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>On the sidebar, click <b>Files<\/b> &rarr; <b>File Manager<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <b>Terminal<\/b> icon in the toolbar, or press Ctrl + `. To close the terminal, click the <b>X<\/b> icon in its top-right corner.<\/p><h2 id=\"h-turn-on-ssh-to-use-the-hostinger-file-manager-terminal\">Turn on SSH to use the Hostinger File Manager terminal<\/h2><p>If SSH is turned off for your hosting plan, Hostinger File Manager asks <b>Turn on SSH to use the terminal?<\/b> when you open the terminal. To work in another folder, use the <code>cd<\/code> command, for example <code>cd public_html<\/code>.
