The ServerKit VPS template at Hostinger installs the panel for you, so you can start managing your server from a web dashboard right away. This article explains how to install the template, log in to the ServerKit panel, and set up a custom panel domain.<\/p><h2 id=\"h-step-1-install-the-serverkit-template\">Step 1 &ndash; Install the ServerKit template<\/h2><ol>\n<li><a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-log-in-to-hostinger-dashboard\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583518-how-to-access-the-dashboard-in-hostinger\/\">Log in to Hostinger dashboard<\/a> and go to <strong>VPS<\/strong>, then click <strong>Manage<\/strong> next to your VPS.<\/li>\n<li>In the sidebar, go to <strong>OS &amp; Panel &rarr;&nbsp;<a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-operating-system\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583571-what-are-the-available-operating-systems-for-vps-at-hostinger\/\">Operating System<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the ServerKit template from the list of applications. The template is available for Ubuntu 24.04 and Ubuntu 26.04.<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Create panel password<\/strong> window, enter a panel password or click <strong>Generate<\/strong> to create one automatically, then click <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-change-os\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/4965922-how-to-change-the-operating-system-of-your-vps-at-hostinger\/\"><strong>Change OS<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol><p>The panel password you set here is the password you will use to log in to the ServerKit panel, so save it in a secure place.<\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">Installing a template replaces the operating system and erases all data currently stored on the VPS. Back up any important files before proceeding.<\/div><h2 id=\"h-step-2-log-in-to-the-serverkit-panel\">Step 2 &ndash; Log in to the ServerKit panel<\/h2><p>Once the installation is complete, open your browser and go to your VPS IP address, for example:<\/p><p><code>http:\/\/185.185.185.185<\/code><\/p><p>You can find the <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-ip-address-of-your-vps\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/5139756-how-to-find-your-vps-ip-address-at-hostinger\/\">IP address of your VPS<\/a> in Hostinger dashboard, in the VPS overview. On the ServerKit login page, enter the following credentials:<\/p><ul>\n<li>Username: <code>admin<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Password: the panel password you created during the template installation.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h-step-3-manage-your-server-with-serverkit\">Step 3 &ndash; Manage your server with ServerKit<\/h2><p>After logging in, you can use the ServerKit panel to manage your VPS without using the command line. From the dashboard, you can:<\/p><ul>\n<li>Deploy PHP, Python, Node.js, and <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-docker-applications\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/8306612-how-to-use-the-docker-vps-template-at-hostinger\/\">Docker applications<\/a>, including over 60 one-click application templates such as WordPress, Ghost, Nextcloud, and n8n.<\/li>\n<li>Manage MySQL and PostgreSQL databases with the built-in SQL console.<\/li>\n<li>Manage domains and DNS zones, and provision SSL certificates through Let&rsquo;s Encrypt.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor CPU, memory, disk, and network usage in real time.<\/li>\n<li>Protect the server with firewall rules, Fail2ban, malware scanning, and two-factor authentication.<\/li>\n<li>Schedule cron jobs and set up backup policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h-step-4-set-a-custom-panel-domain-optional\">Step 4 &ndash; Set a custom panel domain (optional)<\/h2><p>By default, the ServerKit panel is available at your VPS IP address. To access it using a domain instead:<\/p><ol>\n<li><a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-point-your-domain-to-the-vps\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583227-how-to-point-a-domain-to-your-vps-at-hostinger\/\">Point your domain to the VPS<\/a> by creating an <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-a-record\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/4468886-how-to-manage-a-records-at-hostinger\/\">A record<\/a> with your VPS IP address as the value, for example <code>panel.domain.tld<\/code> pointing to <code>185.185.185.185<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>In the ServerKit panel, open <strong>Settings &rarr; System<\/strong>, or go directly to <code>http:\/\/185.185.185.185\/settings\/system<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down to the <strong>Panel Domain<\/strong> section.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your domain, for example <code>panel.domain.tld<\/code>, and confirm the change.<\/li>\n<\/ol><p>From then on, you can open the ServerKit panel using your domain instead of the IP address.<\/p><h2 id=\"h-keeping-serverkit-up-to-date\">Keeping ServerKit up to date<\/h2><p>To update ServerKit to the latest version, <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-connect-to-your-vps-via-ssh\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/5723772-how-to-connect-to-your-vps-via-ssh-at-hostinger\/\">connect to your VPS via SSH<\/a> or the <a data-click-id=\"hgr-post-content-link-browser-terminal\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/7978544-how-to-use-the-browser-terminal-in-hostinger\/\">browser terminal<\/a> in Hostinger dashboard and run:<\/p><pre><code>sudo serverkit update<\/code><\/pre><p>Updates are atomic: ServerKit backs up its database, deploys the new version, runs a health check, and rolls back automatically if anything fails.<\/p><p>That&rsquo;s it!
