For your domain to work with your VPS hosting<\/a>, you need to point the domain to your server’s IP address. There are several ways to do that.<\/p>

\n<\/p>

Domain purchased at Hostinger<\/h2>

If you purchased the domain at Hostinger, go to the Domain portfolio<\/a> <\/b>page on hPanel, click on Manage<\/b> next to your domain, and select DNS \/ Nameservers<\/b> from the left sidebar of the domain dashboard. And then follow these options:<\/p>

Option 1 – Create A records <\/h3>

The easiest way to point your domain to your VPS is to create A records<\/b>:<\/p>

  1. \n

    Find the IP address of your VPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Access your domain’s DNS zone<\/a>, and delete any A, AAAA<\/b> or CNAME<\/b> records that include @<\/b>, www<\/b>, or cloudflare-resolve-to<\/b> in its name.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Add these two A records<\/a>:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    TTL:<\/b> default<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

    Name:<\/b> www <\/p>\n

    Points to:<\/b> your VPS IP address<\/p>\n

    TTL<\/b>: default<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>

    Option 2 – Create A and CNAME records<\/h3>

      Find the IP address of your VPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Access your domain’s DNS zone<\/a>, and delete any A, AAAA<\/b> or CNAME<\/b> records that include @<\/b>, www<\/b>, or cloudflare-resolve-to<\/b> in its name.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      Points to:<\/b> your domain name (e.g., example.com)<\/p>\n

      TTL<\/b> default<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>

      Remember that domain propagation may take up to 24 hours before fully pointing to the VPS.<\/p>\n<\/div>

      \n<\/p>

      Domain purchased elsewhere<\/h2>

      If you purchased the domain elsewhere, go to the VPS<\/a> <\/b>page on hPanel, click on Manage<\/b> next to your server, and select DNS Manager<\/b> from the left sidebar of the VPS dashboard.<\/p>

      \n<\/p>

      Next, enter your domain name and click on Add<\/b>:<\/p>

      You will be assigned custom nameservers to verify domain ownership, and you must add them to your domain provider’s Nameservers management.<\/p>

      Here is an example of custom nameservers:<\/p>
