For your domain to work with your VPS hosting<\/a>, you need to point the domain to your server’s IP address. There are couple ways to do that, depending on where your domain is registered.<\/p>

Domain purchased at Hostinger<\/h2>

Go to the Domain portfolio<\/a><\/b> page on hPanel, click on Manage<\/b> next to your domain, and select DNS \/ Nameservers<\/b> from the left sidebar of the domain dashboard.<\/p>

Create two A records:<\/p>

    Find the IP address of your VPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Access your domain’s DNS zone<\/a>, and delete any A, AAAA<\/b> or CNAME<\/b> records that include @<\/b>, www<\/b>, or cloudflare-resolve-to<\/b> in its name.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Add these two A records<\/a>:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    Remember that domain propagation may take up to 24 hours before fully pointing to the VPS.<\/p>\n<\/div>

    Domain purchased elsewhere<\/h2>

    If your domain is registered with another provider, you have two options:<\/p>

    Option 1 – Create A records at your current registrar (recommended)<\/h3>

    The simplest approach is to add two A records directly in your current domain registrar’s DNS settings — no need to transfer anything.<\/p>

      Find the IP address of your VPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Log in to your domain registrar and navigate to the DNS settings for your domain.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Delete any existing A, AAAA<\/b> or CNAME<\/b> records for @<\/b> or www<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      Add these two A records:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

      Option 2 – Point your domain to Hostinger nameservers<\/h3>

      Use this option if you want to manage your domain’s DNS entirely from Hostinger’s hPanel.<\/p>

      Go to the VPS<\/a><\/b> page on hPanel, click on Manage<\/b> next to your server, and select DNS Manager<\/b> from the left sidebar of the VPS dashboard.<\/p>

      Next, enter your domain name and click on Add<\/b>:<\/p>

      You will be assigned custom nameservers to verify domain ownership, and you must add them to your domain provider’s Nameservers management.<\/p>
