These rights can be set differently for the owner (you), a group, and everyone else. You have two options:<\/p><ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\"><b><a href=\"#h_fd82db3e65\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">Via File Manager<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\"><b><a href=\"#h_f5d2dfe60d\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">Via an FTP client<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h_fd82db3e65\">How to Set Permissions in the File Manager<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">Open <b><a href=\"https:\/\/hpanel.hostinger.com\/websites\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\" rel=\"noopener\">Websites<\/a> &rarr; Dashboard<\/b>, search for <b>File Manager<\/b> on the sidebar and click on it:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Right-click on the file or folder you want to set permissions for and choose <b>Permissions<\/b>: <\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2019\/02\/356e6a37-4cb5-4b2d-835b-2ca103c05e9d.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">You will be able to choose the needed permissions by checkboxes &ndash; and see their numeric value below. You can also set the same permissions for the content inside folders (make permissions <b>recursive<\/b>):<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2019\/02\/b8a8d33a-6f2e-4dcb-97a2-8db5f3f06921.jpg\"><\/div><hr><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_f5d2dfe60d\">How to Set Permissions via FTP <\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">If you have already connected to your website files <b><a href=\"\/support\/4480505-how-to-connect-to-ftp-account\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">using an FTP client<\/a><\/b> such as FileZilla, all you need to do to set permissions is right-click on the file or folder you want to set permissions for and choose <b>File Attributes<\/b> (or <b>File Permissions<\/b>, the name can be different based on your FTP Client&rsquo;s version): <\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2019\/02\/9940ae99-659e-4f85-b7a3-f2d1e55c047d.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">In the opened window, choose the needed permissions with checkboxes <b>or <\/b>set them with a number.
