To install a new certificate, <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/5733346-how-to-uninstall-ssl-certificate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">uninstall the existing one<\/a> first &#128161;<\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">The SSL certificate will be installed within a few minutes. During this time, the status will appear as <b>Installing<\/b>. Once it&rsquo;s done, status will change to <b>Active<\/b>:<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2019\/02\/745f8ee7-c347-477a-a54b-f4153e4f60ab.jpg\" alt=\"Lifetime SSL status shown as Active for subdomain.domain.tld\" data-media-id=\"5376\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">After installing an SSL certificate, you can verify it by visiting your website in an incognito window or by <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/tutorials\/clear-browser-cache\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clearing your browser&rsquo;s cache<\/a>.<\/p><h2 id=\"h_a466690b84\">Can SSL certificates be reused?<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">You get free SSL for all of your domains and subdomains hosted with us, so there&rsquo;s no need to worry about reusing certificates.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">If you no longer need an SSL certificate on a domain, you can <a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/5733346-how-to-uninstall-ssl-certificate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">uninstall it<\/a>.
