If it remains after a few hours, it may indicate that DNS records are still propagating or that there is a configuration issue with your domain settings.<\/p><h1 data-path-to-node=\"5\" id=\"h-common-causes-and-solutions\">Common causes and solutions<\/h1><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\">Check the following scenarios:<\/div><ul>\n<li><span data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Recent domain registration<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583421-how-to-purchase-a-domain-name\">New domains<\/a> registered at Hostinger may take a few hours to fully activate. <\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"7,1,0,2\"><span class=\"citation-656\">If you just purchased your domain, wait a few hours and the message should disappear automatically.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">DNS propagation is in progress<\/b>: If you recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1863967-how-to-point-a-domain-to-hostinger\/#h_5a8b59f38d\">pointed your domain<\/a> to Hostinger or updated its nameservers, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to take effect worldwide. <\/span><span data-path-to-node=\"7,0,0,2\"><span class=\"citation-657\">This process is called DNS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/4146975-what-is-dns-propagation\">propagation<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><b data-path-to-node=\"7,2,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Incorrect DNS records<\/b>: <span data-path-to-node=\"7,2,0,2\"><span class=\"citation-655\">If you pointed your domain using A\/CNAME records instead of nameservers, ensure you used the correct values:<\/span><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>For sites created with Website Builder, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/6627577-how-to-point-a-domain-to-hostinger-website-builder\/\">use CNAME records<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>For Hostinger Horizons web apps, refer to this article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/how-to-point-a-domain-to-hostinger-horizons\/#h_a1e56848f4\">Point a domain to Horizons<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>For other website types, check that the A record matches the <span data-path-to-node=\"7,2,0,2\"><span class=\"citation-655\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/4407303-where-can-i-find-a-record\">IP address<\/a> of your hosting plan details. <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><b data-path-to-node=\"7,3,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">Domain verification is required<\/b>: Check your email for a verification link from Hostinger or your registrar. If a domain is not verified within 15 days of registration, it may be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/1583442-my-domain-is-suspended-for-icann-domain-verification-what-to-do\">temporarily suspended<\/a>. <span data-path-to-node=\"7,3,0,2\"><span class=\"citation-654\">Once verified, the domain usually becomes active within a few hours.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span data-path-to-node=\"7,4,0,0\"><b data-path-to-node=\"7,4,0,0\" data-index-in-node=\"0\">DNSSEC is enabled<\/b>: DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) may be enabled at your domain registrar.
