WHOIS privacy protection keeps the confidentiality of your contact details. When you purchase a new domain<\/a> at Hostinger or claim a free domain<\/a>, WHOIS privacy protection is included for free<\/b> for all supported domain extensions (TLD).<\/p>

Before completing the order, privacy protection can be checked in the shopping cart to ensure it has been added for free.<\/p>

Existing domains<\/h2>

To manually change privacy protection status for supported domain extensions (TLD) registered in Hostinger, follow these steps:<\/p>

    Login to hPanel<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Navigate to the Domain<\/a><\/b> portfolio<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Find the domain name and click on Manage<\/b> next to it.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    In the Domain Overview <\/b>section, find the Domain Ownership section → Privacy Settings<\/strong>

    After that, changes in the WHOIS database can take up to 12 hours<\/b> to take effect.<\/p>

    Recently transferred domains<\/b><\/h2>

    If your TLD supports WHOIS Privacy Protection (WPP), it will be automatically included with your domain transfer at no additional cost <\/b>and enabled once the transfer is completed at Hostinger.<\/p>
