To point your domain to Shopify<\/a>, follow these steps:<\/p>

Step 1 – Point the domain to Shopify<\/h2>
    \n
  1. \n

    If you have enabled Hostinger CDN<\/a>, disable it.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Remove the AAAA<\/b> record for the root domain (@<\/b>), if there is one.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Remove<\/a> the existing A<\/b> record or the root domain (@<\/b>):
    ​<\/p>\n

    \n<\/p><\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Remove <\/b>the CNAME record for www<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    Add the following records to your domain’s DNS zone:<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    A record<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n

    		\n

    CNAME record<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    \n

    Host<\/b>: @<\/p>\n

    Points to<\/b>: 23.227.38.65<\/p>\n

    TTL<\/b>: default<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

    		\n

    Host<\/b>: www<\/p>\n

    Points<\/b> to<\/b>: shops.myshopify.com<\/p>\n

    TTL<\/b>: default<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>

    After making these changes, DNS propagation<\/a> will begin. This process can take up to 24 hours. During this time, your website may be temporarily unavailable, but it will come back online once the process is complete.<\/p>

    \n<\/p>

    Step 2 – Connect the domain to Shopify<\/h2>
      \n
    1. \n

      Log in to your Shopify account, and go to Settings → Domains<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      Click Connect existing domain<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      Enter the domain name and click Next<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

      If you are required to verify the domain:<\/p>

        \n
      1. \n

        On the Shopify Settings → Domains <\/b>page, <\/b>locate the TXT value, and click Copy<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      2. \n

        Go back to your domain’s DNS zone and add the TXT record<\/a> as follows:<\/p>\n

          \n
        1. \n

          Host<\/b>: shopify_verification<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        2. \n

          Points to<\/b>: the value you copied from Shopify<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        3. \n

          TTL<\/b>: Default<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n

        4. \n

          Wait a few hours for the verification record to propagate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        5. \n

          After that time, log in to your Shopify account, and click Verify connection<\/b>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

          \n

          If the verification fails after adding the TXT record, wait up to 48 hours and try again.<\/p>\n<\/div>
