Backups are created and managed automatically without requiring manual setup.<br>\nThis guide covers how to view, restore, download, and track the restore history of your active Managed Hermes agent.<\/p><h3>Before you start<\/h3><ul>\n<li>You must have an active <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/applications\/hermes-agent\"><strong>Hostinger Managed Hermes service<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure your Managed Hermes application has been active for at least 24 hours.<\/li>\n<li>Note that backups are generated automatically once daily and retained for 7 days.<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"h-navigate-to-the-backups-interface\">Navigate to the Backups interface<\/h2><p>To access your application backups, open the backups management panel inside your control area:<\/p><ol>\n<li>Select the <strong>Hermes<\/strong> section from the left sidebar menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Manage<\/strong> button next to your application to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/hostinger-managed-hermes-how-to-manage-your-application-on-hpanel\/\">manage your Hermes<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Backups<\/strong> option from the management menu.<\/li>\n<\/ol><p>Inside the Backups page, you can toggle between two tabs:<\/p><ul>\n<li><strong>Restore and download<\/strong>: Select, restore, or download available daily backups.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Restore history<\/strong>: Audit previous restoration operations and their statuses.<\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">If your application is new, you will see &ldquo;No backups available yet. Backups appear once daily and are kept for 7 days&rdquo; message until your first automated daily backup completes.<\/div><h2 id=\"h-restore-a-backup\">Restore a backup<\/h2><p>Restoring returns your application to the exact state saved in the selected backup:<\/p><ol>\n<li>Open the <strong>Restore and download<\/strong> tab.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13914\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"858\" height=\"384\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55.png 858w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55-300x134.png 300w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55-768x344.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 858px) 100vw, 858px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Select your desired backup from the dropdown menu (listed by date and time, newest first).<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13915\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55_1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"754\" height=\"375\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55_1.png 754w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55_1-300x149.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 754px) 100vw, 754px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Restore application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Read the notice, then select the confirmation checkbox to acknowledge that current application files will be replaced.<br>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-13916\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55_2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"729\" height=\"388\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55_2.png 729w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-28_14-55_2-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 729px) 100vw, 729px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Restore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol><p>Your application will restart and begin restoring. The process usually takes about <strong>5 minutes<\/strong>, and a notification will display once completed. Only one restore operation can run at a time.<\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #feedaf80;border-color: #fbc91633\">&#9888;&#65039; Restoring replaces all current application files and cannot be undone. If you want to keep your current setup, download a backup copy before restoring.<\/div><h2 id=\"h-download-a-backup-copy\">Download a backup copy<\/h2><p>You can save a local copy of any available backup to your device:<\/p><ol>\n<li>Open the <strong>Restore and download<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\n<li>Select the backup you want to download from the dropdown menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Download backup<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol><p>Your backup will be prepared in the background (which may take <strong>up to an hour<\/strong> for larger applications). Once ready, a notification will appear with a temporary download link.<\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">Download links are available for a limited time and will expire.
