The changes will be saved and applied once the nameservers are pointed back to Hostinger.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><h2 id=\"what-to-use-as-a-host-\">What values to use?<\/h2><h3 id=\"h_f131b00608\">Name (Host)<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">If you are adding TXT records for your <b>domain<\/b>, insert <b>@<\/b> as host. For <b>subdomains<\/b>, insert the subdomain&rsquo;s name as a host. For example, for the subdomain <b>shop.domain.tld<\/b> you should enter <b>shop <\/b>as a host.<\/p><h3 id=\"h_b8574f2e47\">TXT Value<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">Enter the value you want to be added to your domain. Usually, TXT is used for adding <b><a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/1583673-how-to-manage-spf-records\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SPF records<\/a><\/b> or verification records, like when adding your domain to Google Search Engine. In these cases, your email provider or search engine will provide you with the exact record value.<\/p><h3 id=\"h_9ca6e9475f\">TTL<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">If you haven&rsquo;t received specific TTL requirements, you can use the default TTL value of <b>14400 seconds<\/b> (four hours).<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">After making any changes to your TXT records, consider <b>up to 24 hours<\/b> for them to <b><a class=\"intercom-content-link\" href=\"\/support\/4146975-what-is-dns-propagation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fully propagate<\/a><\/b>.<\/p><h2 id=\"how-to-edit-or-delete-txt-records-\">How to edit or delete TXT records<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">If you want to apply changes or remove an existing record, go to your domain&rsquo;s DNS Zone Editor and select accordingly:<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12460\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-13_12-08-300x54.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"883\" height=\"159\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-13_12-08-300x54.png 300w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-13_12-08-1024x184.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-13_12-08-768x138.png 768w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-13_12-08-1536x276.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.hostinger.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2026\/07\/2026-07-13_12-08.png 1770w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 883px) 100vw, 883px\" \/><\/div><ol>\n<li class=\"no-margin\">Clicking this will show a confirmation prompt.
