- Hostinger AI Builder is not file-based platforms. For this reason, FTP access is not supported for websites created using Hostinger AI Builder. If you want to use FTP, you can delete Hostinger AI Builder website, then create a new empty Custom PHP\/HTML website website<\/a> to use FTP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>
Locate the FTP details on Hostinger dashboard<\/h2>
Follow these steps:<\/p>

- Log in to Hostinger dashboard and navigate to the Websites<\/a> page<\/li>\n
- Hover over the PHP\/HTML website and click Manage site<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- On the sidebar, select Files → FTP Accounts<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
You will find the FTP connection details for the main user under the FTP Access<\/strong> card, containing all the core parameters required by your client software to establish a successful remote connection<\/a>.<\/p>

<\/p>The main FTP hostname, username and upload path are also displayed on the Plan Details<\/a> page of Hostinger dashboard.<\/p>
If you have created additional FTP accounts<\/a>, scroll down to find the specific hostname, directory and username, as well as to change the password if needed.<\/p>
Understand your configuration parameters<\/h2>
To connect using any standard client software like FileZilla or SmartFTP, enter the FTP details displayed on this screen:<\/div>\n- \n
- FTP IP (hostname)<\/strong>: The IP address of your hosting server. This serves as the hostname or server address in your client application configuration.<\/li>\n
- FTP Username<\/strong>: The username for the main user, it’s a unique value for each website on your hosting plan, as well as for any additional FPT accounts you may create later.<\/li>\n
- FTP Port<\/strong>: The standard port configuration for plain, unencrypted FTP connections. This value is always set to 21.<\/li>\n
- Folder to upload files<\/strong>: The absolute server path assigned to your website. For your primary root domain, this directory is designated as
public_html<\/code>. Files placed outside this folder will fail to load in web browsers.<\/li>\n- Forgot your FTP password?<\/b> The option to set a new FTP password for the selected website.<\/li>\n
- Recommended FTP clients<\/b> – Direct access to download the SmartFTP or FileZilla FTP clients on your local device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Change the FTP password<\/h2>\n
For security reasons, your account password is hidden at all times within the Hostinger dashboard interface. If you are configuring a new connection or cannot recall your current credentials, you can update your password<\/a> on this page.<\/p>\n

- Click on Change FTP Password<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Enter a strong, unique password that combines uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.<\/li>\n
- Click the Change Password<\/strong> button to save the configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
