Then, search for <b>Backups<\/b> on the left sidebar and click on it.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">You&rsquo;ll find backup options for your website files and databases. Check the following methods to understand the differences according to your desired outcome and the detailed instructions &#128071; <\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_8b553700e2\">Method 1 &ndash; Fully restore a WordPress website<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">This method is only available for WordPress websites. It allows you to restore all the files and the database of a WordPress site in one click. Check the status in the <b>Restore History <\/b>tab:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/489fe2d4-a46d-43e2-8302-6b701693766e.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">After completion, your website will be restored to its state on the selected date &ndash; be sure to <a href=\"\/support\/1583501-how-to-clear-cache\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">clear your browser cache<\/a>  before visiting it.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_fd5e3ac9fd\">Method 2 &ndash; Restore specific websites, subdomains, or directories<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">This method is recommended when you host several websites, subdomains, or directories and only want to perform partial restorations by selecting only specific files or folders (directories).<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Click on <b>Files backups<\/b>, select the preferred date from the available backups in the dropdown list, and click on <b>Show files<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/db190965-3a89-48ad-87ad-5baa01b113a1.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">To restore only one domain and its subdomains, select the folder of the preferred website (e.g., domain.tld), and click on <b>Restore selected<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/ae807b9b-16a2-4032-b242-a68a4359e2a5.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">To restore a particular directory or a subdomain, select the folder of the preferred website (e.g., domain.tld), and open the <b>public_html <\/b>folder within:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/7dbe2462-9552-4a12-a5d6-cb023f843208.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Select the desired directory (folder), and click on <b>Restore files<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/7f2d5616-7174-4e6d-b62b-5013b7df5dc2.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\"><b>NOTE<\/b><\/p><ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">The default directory for your<b> <\/b>subdomain is named after the subdomain; if you chose a custom name when <a href=\"\/support\/1583405-how-to-create-and-delete-subdomains-in-hpanel\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">creating the subdomain<\/a>, the folder will have that name instead.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"no-margin\">Usually, the restoration process takes 10&ndash;15 minutes, depending on the size of your website; the larger the backup, the longer it may take. Click on Click on <b>Files backups<\/b>, select the preferred date from the available backups in the dropdown list, and click on <b>Show files<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/27723bef-6037-4147-ad55-2d76a95ec451.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Open the <b>domains <\/b>folder, select the folder of the preferred website<b> <\/b>(e.g., domain.tld), and open the folder <b>public_html <\/b>within:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/b055c6a2-30bc-4aa9-aa77-d25b1b6ea9b5.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Then, select the preferred files within, and click on <b>Restore files<\/b>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/2fd0d337-69dd-4f57-872c-414412efa6b8.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Usually, the restoration process takes only a couple of minutes, but it also depends on your file size. The larger the backup, the longer it may take. You can check the status in the <b>Restore and download <\/b>section:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/5323034f-2f14-4fec-b578-41929725f82c.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Check the status in the <b>Restore History<\/b> tab:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/374c087e-24dc-40c9-82dc-2f2c70bf32b5.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Once completed, your selected files will be restored to the state of the selected backup date.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">You can restore files and whole directories from<b> public_html<\/b> this way. If you need to restore just some particular files from a subfolder inside <b>public_html<\/b>, <a href=\"\/support\/5981435-how-to-download-backups-at-hostinger\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">download the backup<\/a> and upload the desired files <a href=\"\/support\/1869164-how-to-upload-backup-with-ftp\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">via FTP<\/a>:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_481c537550\">Restore databases<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">Follow these steps after restoring the entire domains\/subdomains, or if you need to restore your website&rsquo;s database only. <\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Click on <b>Database backups<\/b>. Choose the preferred backup date, and click on <b>Restore<\/b> <b>Database<\/b>.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/07\/5ed57a16-8560-4527-9012-98a082bf8186.jpg\" width=\"635\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\"><b>NOTE<\/b><\/p><ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">The database must exist in your <b>List of Current MySQL Databases<\/b> before restoring it.
