Then, search for <b>Security<\/b> on the sidebar and click on it:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/09\/c9500f81-7d17-49cf-be1f-8f90e6a9c443.jpg\" alt=\"The WordPress &rarr; Security section in hPanel\" width=\"250\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Scroll down to the section <b>Installed plugins<\/b> to find all the plugins currently installed on your website. Move the toggle to disable or enable them:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/09\/979ab7bc-77eb-4411-bb3a-d397a56fe77a.jpg\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h2 id=\"h_2ca88ee0d8\">Disabling plugins via the file manager<\/h2><p class=\"no-margin\">If you don&rsquo;t have the WordPress dashboard enabled or prefer managing data via files, you can disable the plugins using the file manager. <\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_af4e3789f7\">Step 1 &ndash; Go to the file manager<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">Open your website&rsquo;s <b><a href=\"\/support\/4548688-basic-actions-in-file-manager\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">File Manager<\/a><\/b> and access its <b>wp-content<\/b> folder (<code>domains\/domain.tld\/public_html\/wp-content<\/code>). There, you&rsquo;ll find the <b>plugins <\/b>folder:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/09\/622201d5-14ce-4a5d-a711-bbbb645fc76e.jpg\" alt=\"The \" width=\"500\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_687ac9b24e\">Step 2 &ndash; Check and disable plugins<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">If you <b>don&rsquo;t use Elementor <\/b>on your website, rename the entire <b>plugins <\/b>folder to <b>plugins_disabled<\/b> (or any different name) &ndash; this way, you&rsquo;ll disable all the plugins inside this folder:<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/55\/2020\/09\/2af92d32-5a8c-4ee8-99fc-2f950221b9e4.jpg\" alt=\"Renaming the \" width=\"400\"><\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">If you do <b>use Elementor<\/b>, rename every folder within the <b>plugins<\/b> folder<b> except Elementor<\/b>. Alternatively, you may create a new folder and move all the plugins&rsquo; folders there <b>except Elementor<\/b>. <\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Due to the specific architecture of Elementor, changing the plugin&rsquo;s folder name can cause a website crash. Therefore, <b>make sure not to change the Elementor folder name<\/b> &#128161; <\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">Both options &ndash; renaming the folders or creating a new folder and moving the plugins there &ndash; will <b>disable <\/b>plugins, as the path to files will be altered.
