- Everyone who submits the form, including contacts who already exist in Reach<\/li>\n<\/ul>
This is useful when you want to:<\/p>

- Thank attendees for registering and share event details, calendar links, or reminders<\/li>\n
- Confirm that you received an inquiry and explain the next steps<\/li>\n
- Deliver a lead magnet, guide, discount, or other requested resource<\/li>\n
- Send a follow-up whenever someone submits a recurring registration or request form<\/li>\n<\/ul>
Recommended setup<\/h3>
For forms created directly in Hostinger Reach<\/a>, use the Contact submits Reach form<\/strong> automation trigger.<\/p>
The recommended setup is:<\/p>
- \n
- Create and activate a Reach form<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- Add the form to your website or open its preview URL.<\/li>\n
- Go to Automations<\/strong> and create a new automation.<\/li>\n
- Select the Form submission email<\/strong> template.<\/li>\n
- Choose Contact submits Reach form<\/strong> as the trigger.<\/li>\n
- Select the form that should start the automation.<\/li>\n
- Choose whether the automation should run for new contacts only or for everyone submitting the form.<\/li>\n
- Add your follow-up email and any additional steps.<\/li>\n
- Activate and test the automation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
Using the dedicated form submission trigger is recommended because it connects the automation directly to the selected Reach form and can also work for existing contacts.<\/p>
Step 1 — Create and publish your Reach form<\/b><\/h2>
Before creating the automation, make sure your Reach form<\/a> is ready to collect submissions.<\/p>
To create a form:<\/p>
- \n
- Go to Forms<\/strong> in Reach.<\/li>\n
- Create a new form and customize its fields and design.<\/li>\n
- Activate the form.<\/li>\n
- Add it to your website or open the form’s preview URL from the Share<\/strong> options.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
The form must be active and accessible before it can collect submissions and start the automation.<\/p>

- Click New automation<\/strong>.

You can also create an automation from scratch and select Contact submits Reach form<\/strong> as the first step.<\/p>
Step 3 — Select the form<\/h2>
In the automation trigger settings, select the Reach form<\/a> that should start the workflow.<\/p>
Only forms created directly in Reach can currently be selected with this trigger.<\/p>
If the form does not appear:<\/p>
- \n
- Confirm that it was created in Reach<\/li>\n
- Refresh the automation editor and try again<\/li>\n<\/ul>

\nStep 4 — Choose who should enter the automation<\/h2>Select how the automation should behave when the form is submitted.<\/p>
Every time the form is submitted<\/strong><\/p>
The automation starts whenever someone submits the selected form.<\/p>
This includes:<\/p>
- \n
- New subscribers<\/li>\n
- Existing Reach contacts<\/li>\n
- Contacts submitting the same form again<\/li>\n<\/ul>
Use this option for recurring registrations, inquiries, bookings, event signups, resource requests, or any workflow where every submission should receive a response.<\/p>
New contacts only<\/strong><\/p>
The automation starts only when someone is added to Reach as a new contact through the selected form.<\/p>
Existing contacts who submit the form will not enter the automation.<\/p>
Use this option for one-time welcome emails, initial onboarding flows, or campaigns intended only for newly collected subscribers.<\/p>

<\/p>Step 5 — Add the follow-up email<\/h2>
After configuring the trigger:<\/p>

- Open the email step.<\/li>\n
- Create or customize the email that should be sent after the form submission.<\/li>\n
- Add any additional steps required for your workflow.<\/li>\n<\/ol>
You can add:<\/p>
- \n
- More emails<\/li>\n
- Time delays<\/li>\n
- Conditions<\/li>\n
- Follow-up paths based on contact behavior<\/li>\n<\/ul>
For example, you can immediately send an event confirmation, wait one day, and then send a reminder or additional information.<\/p>

Before testing, make sure the automation is active<\/strong>.<\/p>

- Open the form on your website or use its preview URL.

When testing the New contacts only<\/strong> option, use an email address that does not already exist in your Reach audience.<\/p>
When testing the Every time the form is submitted<\/strong> option, you can also use an existing Reach contact to confirm that repeat submissions start the automation.<\/p>
Using forms from Hostinger integrations<\/h2>
The Contact submit Reach form<\/strong> trigger currently works only with forms created directly with Hostinger Reach Form.<\/p>
If you collect contacts through forms created in:<\/p>
- \n
- Hostinger AI Builder manual mode<\/a><\/li>\n
- Hostinger AI Builder agentic mode<\/a><\/li>\n
- WordPress<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>
Use the segment or tag created for that form submission instead, as for every unique form, a unique form and segment is automatically created for you.<\/strong><\/p>
To create an automation for an integrated form:<\/p>
- \n
- Confirm which segment or tag is assigned to contacts submitting the form.<\/li>\n
- Go to Automations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
- Create a new automation.<\/li>\n
- Select the relevant segment-based trigger.

Keep in mind that segment-based triggers may only start the automation when a contact newly enters the selected segment. They may therefore behave differently from the dedicated Reach form submission trigger, especially for contacts who already exist in Reach.<\/p>
You will now automatically send the appropriate follow-up whenever someone submits your selected form.<\/p>
