It directs web traffic to your website by translating the domain name into its numerical IP address.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">Some points to consider when managing A records:<\/p><ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Only the A records from your current hosting provider should be added to the domain&rsquo;s DNS zone. While this record can be added to the domain&rsquo;s DNS zone, consider that for domains hosted at Hostinger, you still need to <a href=\"\/support\/1583405-how-to-create-and-delete-subdomains\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">manually create each subdomain<\/a>.<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Before adding an A record for the root domain (<code>@<\/code>), ensure Hostinger CDN is <a href=\"\/support\/7935917-hostinger-cdn-website-optimization#h_cb55d22321\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">fully disabled<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><h3 id=\"h_9d29ad9c4c\">Points to<\/h3><p class=\"no-margin\">This is the content or target IP to which you want to point your domain. For example, for domains hosted at Hostinger, it will point to <a href=\"\/support\/4407303-where-can-i-find-a-record\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link\">the IP of your hosting plan<\/a><b>.<\/b><\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">\n<\/p><p class=\"no-margin\">The target must be an <b>IPv4 <\/b>(IP version 4)<b> <\/b>address,<b> <\/b>following a format similar to this:<b> 185.185.185.185<\/b>.
