If you use Wix<\/b> and want to connect a domain purchased outside Wix<\/a><\/b>, you need to have their Premium plan<\/b>. If you already have one, you can point your domain to Wix by using Wix nameservers<\/b> or A and CNAME records<\/b>.<\/p>

Option 1 – Wix Nameservers<\/h2>

Open this page<\/a><\/b> and follow the instructions on how to find your Wix nameservers<\/b>. Keep in mind that the NS records may be different for you than those in the image. Please use the NS records that you see on your Wix<\/b> domains<\/b> page<\/b>:<\/p>

Once you copy the given nameservers, specify them in your domain’s DNS zone<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>

Option 2 – Wix A and CNAME Records<\/h2>

Alternatively, you can point your domain to Wix<\/b> via A and CNAME records<\/a><\/b>. All you need to do is: <\/p>

    Gather these records from Wix<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Add an A record<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Add a CNAME record<\/a><\/b> <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    Once you create the required records, DNS propagation<\/a><\/b> will start. This process can take up to<\/b> 24 hours<\/b>. During this time, it’s expected that your website won’t work, but give it some time, and it will get online soon.<\/p>
