It aims to block spam but may occasionally misclassify emails.<\/p><h3 data-start=\"442\" data-end=\"475\">Why Emails Are Marked as Spam<\/h3><p data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"544\">Emails are usually marked as spam for one or more of these reasons:<\/p><ul data-start=\"546\" data-end=\"813\">\n<li data-start=\"546\" data-end=\"603\">\n<p data-start=\"548\" data-end=\"603\">Similar emails were previously marked as spam by users.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"604\" data-end=\"647\">\n<p data-start=\"606\" data-end=\"647\">The sender has a poor sending reputation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"716\">\n<p data-start=\"650\" data-end=\"716\">The message contains suspicious links, attachments, or formatting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"813\">\n<p data-start=\"719\" data-end=\"813\">Email authentication is missing or misconfigured for the sending domain (SPF, DKIM, or DMARC).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>&nbsp;<\/p><h3 data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1316\">Moving Emails Between Spam and Inbox<\/h3><p data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1368\">Since <strong>March 2026<\/strong>, Hostinger Email Spam filtering has evolved to per-user spam learning, which means that <strong>your actions help improve the spam filtering accuracy per mailbox<\/strong>:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1543\">\n<li data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1459\">\n<p data-start=\"1372\" data-end=\"1459\">Moving an email <strong data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1403\">out of Spam<\/strong> trains the system that similar messages are legitimate, and this is a trusted sender per your mailbox.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1460\" data-end=\"1543\">\n<p data-start=\"1462\" data-end=\"1543\">Moving an email <strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1489\">to Spam<\/strong> trains the system that similar messages are unwanted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><div class=\"intercom-interblocks-callout\" style=\"background-color: #e3e7fa80;border-color: #334bfa33\">These actions help train the spam filtering system over time, and the more you move emails to Junk (or vice versa), the better results you can expect for your mailbox.<br>\nChanges are not immediate and may not affect previous messages that are already in Junk.<\/div><p><a applied.<br data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"918\">Emails in the <strong data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"940\">Spam<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"954\">Trash<\/strong> folders are automatically deleted after <strong data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1006\">30 days<\/strong>.<\/p><p data-start=\"1009\" data-end=\"1142\">This cleanup helps ensure your mailbox storage is not exceeded due to spam or deleted messages.<br data-start=\"1104\" data-end=\"1107\">Deleted emails cannot be recovered.<\/p><p data-start=\"1144\" data-end=\"1274\">You can also&nbsp;delete emails i<strong data-start=\"1157\" data-end=\"1198\">mmediately<\/strong> by clicking <strong data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1221\">Delete<\/strong> while viewing messages in the Spam folder.<\/p><p
