It is used to resolve your domain name to the host server. Open your hPanel, navigate to <strong>Websites<\/strong>, click <strong>Dashboard<\/strong> next to the website you want to get the A record for, and go to <strong>Hosting Plan<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>Plan details<\/strong>. Then, you&rsquo;ll see your host IP address on the left sidebar. Feel free to contact <a href=\"https:\/\/support.hostinger.com\/en\/?_ga=2.241332738.1615887783.1572407587-272828444.1560523121\">customer support<\/a> if you cannot find that on your hPanel.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-checking-your-current-a-record-value\">Checking Your Current A Record Value<\/h2><p>See your current domain&rsquo;s A record value through your domain control panel and computer console.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-using-the-hpanel\">Using the hPanel<\/h3><p>Once you&rsquo;re logged in to Hostinger&rsquo;s hPanel, head over to the <strong>Domains<\/strong> section. If your domain was registered elsewhere, you can still check your A record using your local computer console.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-using-local-computer-console\">Using Local Computer Console<\/h3><p>Check whether or not the domain is resolving into the correct host IP address by using the <a href=\"\/ng\/tutorials\/linux-ping-command-with-examples\/\">ping command<\/a> in your computer console. The value of your domain&rsquo;s A record IP address should be the same as your hosting IP address.<\/p><p>If they are different, you need to replace your current A Record value with the one provided by your host. This value should be <a href=\"\/ng\/tutorials\/how-to-change-domain-nameservers\">changed from where your nameservers are pointed<\/a> to at the moment. You can check the nameservers of your domain on <a href=\"\/ng\/whois\">Hostinger&rsquo;s WHOIS lookup tool<\/a>.<\/p><p>Once you&rsquo;ve accessed your domain manager on your hPanel, select the <strong>DNS Zone<\/strong> tab.
