Regardless of your reasons, we will be covering how to completely uninstall a WordPress site from your hosting account.<\/p><p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<div><p class=\"important\"><strong>Important!<\/strong> Please note that WordPress comes in two versions: <a href=\"\/my\/tutorials\/wordpress-org-vs-wordpress-com\">WordPress.com and WordPress.org<\/a> (self-hosted). This tutorial will show you how to uninstall self-hosted WordPress. For instructions on how to remove a blog created on WordPress.com, see this <a href=\"https:\/\/en.support.wordpress.com\/deleting-accounts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">page<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-backing-up-your-site\">Backing Up Your Site<\/h2><p>First of all, it&rsquo;s always a good practice to <a href=\"\/my\/tutorials\/backup-wordpress\">create a backup for WordPress<\/a>, in case you want to restore your website someday. While there are plenty of viable methods, the easiest way is to utilize hPanel&rsquo;s <strong>Backups<\/strong> feature, which you can locate by searching <strong>Backups <\/strong>in the <strong>Hosting<\/strong> tab.<\/p><p>Once there, scroll down, and press <strong>Select <\/strong>under the <strong>Generate new backup<\/strong> section. The number of files depends on how many MySQL databases you have etc.<\/p><p>However, do keep in mind that this action will save your account data in its entirety.
