Configure your build settings<\/strong><\/h3><p>After connecting GitHub to your hosting provider, you&rsquo;ll typically need to specify how your provider should build and serve your project. For static sites, you can skip this step.<\/p><p>For framework-based projects, you need to fill in three fields:<\/p><ul class='\"wp-block-list\" wp-block-list'>\n<li><strong>Build command<\/strong>. The command that compiles your code into production files. React and Vite use <strong>npm run build<\/strong>. Next.js uses <strong>next build<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Output directory<\/strong>. The folder where the build command places the finished files. Vite outputs to <strong>dist<\/strong>, Create React App to <strong>build<\/strong>, and Next.js to <strong>.next<\/strong>. If you enter the wrong folder, your hosting provider may publish an empty page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start command<\/strong>. For a Node.js app, the command that launches your server is typically <strong>npm start<\/strong> or <strong>node server.js<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p>On Hostinger, the system automatically detects the correct build and start settings.
