Access and configure through the WordPress Customizer<\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your site uses a classic WordPress theme, add the favicon through the WordPress Customizer. This method is available in WordPress 4.3 and later and lets you set the favicon from the <strong>Site Identity<\/strong> settings.<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From your WordPress dashboard, go to <strong>Appearance <\/strong>&rarr; <strong>Customizer.<\/strong> If you can&rsquo;t see the option, add <strong>wp-admin\/customize.php<\/strong> to your website URL to open it manually.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to the <strong>left sidebar<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>Site Identity<\/strong>. You will be redirected back to the <strong>Favicon<\/strong> menu in the WordPress dashboard. Click the<strong> Check your favicon<\/strong> button to check if your site icon works properly. To replace the current one, simply repeat the steps above.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember that this plugin must remain running to display the favicon. Remember, <strong>public_html<\/strong> should contain only the favicon files, not the folder.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the following URL in your web browser to confirm that WordPress can read your favicon. Replace <strong>domain.tld<\/strong> with your actual domain name:<\/li>\n<\/ol><pre class=\"wp-block-preformatted\">domain.tld\/favicon.ico<\/pre><ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open your WordPress dashboard and navigate to <strong>Tools <\/strong>&rarr; <strong>Theme File<\/strong> <strong>Editor<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the <strong>Theme Files<\/strong> menu on the right, select <strong>header.php<\/strong>.
