To demonstrate, we will use <strong>\/tutorials<\/strong>. In this section, we will go over three methods &ndash; displaying an RSS feed using Site Editor, Widgets, and a <a href=\"\/ca\/tutorials\/what-is-wordpress-plugin\">WordPress plugin<\/a>.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-site-editor\">Site Editor<\/h3><p>The WordPress Site Editor lets you add an RSS feed to a template, such as <strong>Single<\/strong>, <strong>Page<\/strong>, or <strong>Home<\/strong>. Make sure to use a WordPress theme that supports this feature, such as <strong>Twenty Twenty-Three<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Follow these steps to add and configure an RSS feed using the Site Editor:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the WordPress dashboard, go to <strong>Appearance<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>Editor<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the Site Editor screen, click <strong>Templates<\/strong>, and select a template. Feel free to modify the number of RSS feed items and display the posts&rsquo; author, publication dates, and excerpts.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wordpress-widgets\">WordPress Widgets<\/h3><p>You can add an RSS feed via WordPress Widgets if you use a WordPress theme that supports <strong>Customizer<\/strong>, such as <strong>Twenty Twenty-One<\/strong>. Follow the steps below:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the WordPress dashboard page, navigate to <strong>Appearance<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>Widgets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select a widget to use. For example, we will choose the <strong>Sidebar<\/strong> widget.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the <strong>Add block<\/strong> button to open <strong>Block Inserter<\/strong>. Enter RSS on the search bar and select the <strong>RSS icon<\/strong> to add it to the widget.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your website&rsquo;s URL in the required field and click the <strong>Use URL<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Move the block within the sidebar to the preferred location using the <strong>Arrow<\/strong> icons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Update<\/strong> to save the changes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Visit your website to check if the RSS feed is successfully added.<\/li>\n<\/ol><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wordpress-plugin\">WordPress Plugin<\/h3><p>Another method to display feeds on your website is using a WordPress RSS feed plugin. To demonstrate, we will use the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/feedzy-rss-feeds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Feedzy RSS Feeds<\/a> plugin:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"\/ca\/tutorials\/wordpress\/how-to-install-wordpress-plugins\">Install and activate the plugin<\/a> from the WordPress dashboard. Once activated, you will be redirected to Feedzy&rsquo;s setup wizard page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose how to add RSS feeds to your website &ndash; using the import tool, a shortcode, or the block editor. For instance, we will select the <strong>Display RSS feeds using shortcodes<\/strong> option. This keeps visitors engaged, providing them with easy access to relevant references.<\/p><p>Adding multiple RSS feeds can also help establish your WordPress website&rsquo;s credibility and authority. It shows your site visitors that you provide valuable content and stay up-to-date with the latest trends.<\/p><p>That said, complying with copyright and fair use guidelines is important. The original authors must allow adding their RSS feeds to your website. You must also follow their policies when attributing the content.<\/p><p>In this section, we will share how to display external RSS feeds on your website using the RSS widget and a WordPress plugin.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-wordpress-widgets-0\">WordPress Widgets<\/h3><p>Here&rsquo;s how to add RSS feed links via the WordPress RSS widget:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Collect RSS feed URLs to display on your WordPress website. Ensure they are accessible and valid using an RSS feed validator like <a href=\"https:\/\/validator.w3.org\/feed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">W3C Feed Validation Service<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Appearance<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>Widgets<\/strong> from your WordPress dashboard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert the RSS block and enter each feed URL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add multiple categories by inserting <strong>Heading blocks<\/strong>. Here is how:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to <strong>Tools<\/strong> &rarr; <strong>Bulk Add Sources<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the following format to add multiple feed sources: <strong>feed name, https:\/\/example.com<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insert a new line by pressing <strong>Enter<\/strong> to separate the URLs.
